The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 3rd minute Reginaldo Cordeiro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Edmond Verdun saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 5 minutes into the match, Bizard FC's goalkeeper José Maria Quirino had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Miguel Savion. 8 minutes into the match, Errecaborda AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Luiz Fabiano Sena came free, but Edmond Verdun reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tomáš Lamačka in the 14th minute of play forced Errecaborda AFC's goalkeeper Edmond Verdun to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Luiz Fabiano Sena blasted a shot towards the goal in the 15th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Edmond Verdun having to make a save. In the 19th minute of the match Victor Pinho shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Edmond Verdun showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Prospero Jerardo's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but José Maria Quirino read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 21st minute of play. In the 26th minute Luiz Fabiano Sena shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Edmond Verdun saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Prospero Jerardo in the 28th minute of play forced Bizard FC's goalkeeper José Maria Quirino to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 35th minute Emílio Terra shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but José Maria Quirino saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When the match had gone on for 36 minutes, Luiz Fabiano Sena put it in 0-1 from a short distance just to the right of Edmond Verdun. In the 39th minute the ball was on its way in behind Errecaborda AFC's goalkeeper Edmond Verdun, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Edmond Verdun took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Victor Pinho, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After some fancy dribbling in the 45th minute, Reginaldo Cordeiro managed to get in a good position for a shot. Bizard FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Reginaldo Cordeiro was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Edmond Verdun breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The Errecaborda AFC players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Bizard FC were winning 0-1.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Luiz Fabiano Sena to make the kick off. Luisinho Tasso struck a weak shot in the 52nd minute. Edmond Verdun didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Bizard FC. A collision led to Errecaborda AFC getting a freekick after 57 minutes play. Miguel Savion hit a great ball. The supporters of Bizard FC booed when Errecaborda AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 59 match minutes in a wonderful position. Emílio Terra didn't get a good kick on the ball. Errecaborda AFC's Edmond Verdun played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Victor Pinho in the 64th minute of play. Bizard FC's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Victor Pinho in the 65th minute. After taking down the ball on Bizard FC's corner Wang Sen Jian fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Edmond Verdun quite easily take care of the ball. In the 73rd minute, Luisinho Tasso made a precise shot to the right of Edmond Verdun. Errecaborda AFC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-5. Edmond Verdun showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Luisinho Tasso in the 76th minute of the match. Edmond Verdun made an important save on a dangerous shot by Luisinho Tasso in the 81st minute. Edmond Verdun took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dieguinho Terra, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Errecaborda AFC's Edmond Verdun proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 85th minute of the match, managed to save Errecaborda AFC from getting a goal against them. Dieguinho Terra recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 86th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Dieguinho Terras short, quick shot in the 92ndth minute got Edmond Verdun to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. If Dieguinho Terra had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 94th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 96th minute, Mauro Rameriz ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. José Maria Quirino was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-5. The Bizard FC players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
