Chen Ao Fan started the match with the kick off. Pankracy Glogowski took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Chen Ao Fan, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 4 minutes into the match, Skövde AIK's goal looked a bit too open when Şevket Çağa came free, but Karl-Erik Norström reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Chen Ao Fan hit a great freekick 5 minutes into the match. In the 14th minute the ball was on its way in behind Skövde AIK's goalkeeper Karl-Erik Norström, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 15th minute Chen Ao Fan shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Pankracy Glogowski saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Club Atlético Atlanta's Pankracy Glogowski played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Kevin Keegan in the 17th minute of play. 23 minutes into the game, Emil Chwalkiewicz was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Club Atlético Atlanta's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Skövde AIK the free kick. 27 minutes into the match, Kevin Keegan had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Pankracy Glogowski. Club Atlético Atlanta's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Kevin Keegan was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. Henrik Lönn scored 0-2 in the 30th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Pankracy Glogowski, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 34 minutes into the match, Kevin Keegan had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Pankracy Glogowski. Club Atlético Atlanta's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Kevin Keegan was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-3. 38 minutes had been played when some careless play by Club Atlético Atlanta's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Chen Ao Fan was slow to take the kick. During this time Skövde AIK's players had a chance to rest. After taking down the ball on Skövde AIK's corner Chen Ao Fan fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Pankracy Glogowski quite easily take care of the ball. 40 minutes into the match, Skövde AIK's Chen Ao Fan sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Pankracy Glogowski narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After 40 minutes of play, Skövde AIK's Chen Ao Fan made it 0-4 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Pankracy Glogowski was left in no man's land by his defense there! Pankracy Glogowski made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Kevin Keegan in the 43rd minute of play. After 43 minutes of play, Skövde AIK's Kevin Keegan made it 0-5 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Pankracy Glogowski was left in no man's land by his defense there! The Club Atlético Atlanta players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Skövde AIK were winning 0-5.

The wind increased when Marcos Berdoi made the kick off in the second half. Henrik Lönn received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 53rd minute. Pankracy Glogowski tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Skövde AIK's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Chen Ao Fan in the 58th minute. The corner ended in Chen Ao Fan almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Club Atlético Atlanta's Pankracy Glogowski did a great save. A collision led to Skövde AIK getting a freekick after 61 minutes play. Håkan Kruse hit a great ball. Pankracy Glogowski made an important save on a dangerous shot by Henrik Lönn in the 64th minute. If Kevin Keegan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 73rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 76 minutes into the match, Club Atlético Atlanta's goalkeeper Pankracy Glogowski had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Chen Ao Fan. Karl-Erik Norström made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Marcos Berdoi in the 84th minute of play. If Kevin Keegan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 88th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The Club Atlético Atlanta supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Skövde AIK's performance. The match ended with a win for Skövde AIK.
