The audience thought a goal was coming when Zézinho Neiva got free with Kubat Tuğrul in the 89th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After some fancy dribbling in the 93rd minute, Răzvan Necula managed to get in a good position for a shot. Soroca F.C.'s supporters rose to their feet, but Răzvan Necula was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Kubat Tuğrul breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Armando Armani made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Paulino Sayvion in the 97th minute of play.
