Amancio Mitxel started the match with the kick off. Genílson Peixoto came free with the goalkeeper in the 2nd minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Armindo Maltez could save by the left post. In the 4th match minute, Ponte do Carro was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Adélio Brites to maneuver through the defense. The supporters of Beto Martini MZ 20 years booed when Ponte do Carro was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 7 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gregório Jesus didn't get a good kick on the ball. 9 minutes into the match, Beto Martini MZ 20 years's goal looked a bit too open when Simão Boaventura came free, but Angel Neto reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Armindo Maltez made an important save on a dangerous shot by Genílson Peixoto in the 11th minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Amancio Mitxel got free with Armindo Maltez in the 13th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Angel Neto came out of the goal in the 15th minute to try and stop a shot by Ponte do Carro's Gregório Jesus. But to his dismay, Gregório Jesus quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Angel Neto took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gregório Jesus, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Angel Neto showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Loukianos Livas, who was totally free with the ball in the 20th minute. Genílson Peixoto who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 22ndth minute tested the skills of Armindo Maltez when he managed to save the team from getting behind. 23 minutes into the match, Beto Martini MZ 20 years's goal looked a bit too open when Simão Boaventura came free, but Angel Neto reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Simão Boaventura spun around in front of the goal 24 minutes in the game, and got away a shot that, to his disappointment, went to the left of Beto Martini MZ 20 years's goal. In the 25th minute, Nando do Nascimento hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Alcino Jesus sent away a hard shot on goal in the 27th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Alcino Jesus struck a weak shot in the 28th minute. Angel Neto didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ponte do Carro. With a little luck, Ponte do Carro's Armindo Maltez got control of the ball when Genílson Peixoto tried to sneak it across the goal line. Beto Martini MZ 20 years's Angel Neto played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alcino Jesus in the 32nd minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 38th minute, Genílson Peixoto managed to get in a good position for a shot. Beto Martini MZ 20 years's supporters rose to their feet, but Genílson Peixoto was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Armindo Maltez breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. A collision led to Ponte do Carro getting a freekick after 41 minutes play. Simão Boaventura hit a great ball. Genílson Peixoto sent away a hard shot on goal in the 42nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Armindo Maltez made a fantastic save in the 44th minute, when Genílson Peixoto sent off a good shot on target. Armindo Maltez made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nando do Nascimento in the 46th minute of play. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Loukianos Livas to make the kick off. After 50 played minutes Ponte do Carro got a freekick which was hit by Alcino Jesus. Armindo Maltez came out of the goal in the 54th minute to try and stop a shot by Beto Martini MZ 20 years's Genílson Peixoto. But to his dismay, Genílson Peixoto quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. Armindo Maltez showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Amancio Mitxel, who was totally free with the ball in the 57th minute. Nando do Nascimento hit a great freekick 59 minutes into the match. Beto Martini MZ 20 years's Angel Neto played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Simão Boaventura in the 60th minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Loukianos Livas in the 66th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Angel Neto prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Ponte do Carro were awarded a corner in the 68th minute after Beto Martini MZ 20 years's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Gregório Jesus took the corner. Simão Boaventura made a great header on Ponte do Carro's corner, it was just that Beto Martini MZ 20 years's Angel Neto managed to reach the ball for a save. The audience thought a goal was coming when Alcino Jesus got free with Angel Neto in the 69th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Ponte do Carro's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Gregório Jesus in the 70th minute. The corner led Ponte do Carro's Loukianos Livas to a score. 1-2 in the 70th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Loukianos Livas in the 73rd minute of play forced Beto Martini MZ 20 years's goalkeeper Angel Neto to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.
