The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in AEK S.C reached it. 44 minutes into the match, AEK S.C's goalkeeper Thanasis Koltsidas had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Corneliu Dridu. Thanasis Koltsidas showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Omid Kaulbach in the 47th minute of the match. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The wind increased when Thalis Krommidas made the kick off in the second half. With a little luck, Dr Lecter SC's Celso Trevisan got control of the ball when Thalis Krommidas tried to sneak it across the goal line. Thanasis Koltsidas showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Corneliu Dridu, who was totally free with the ball in the 63rd minute. The supporters of AEK S.C booed when Dr Lecter SC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 64 match minutes in a wonderful position. Wanderson Fernandez didn't get a good kick on the ball. AEK S.C made a substitution. Vaggelis Mitsiou replaced Thalis Krommidas. Kevin Carreira made a great header on AEK S.C's corner, it was just that Dr Lecter SC's Celso Trevisan managed to reach the ball for a save. Donzel Goyeneta charged in rather forcefully in the 75th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. After 85 played minutes AEK S.C got a freekick which was hit by Rodrigo Hats. Corneliu Dridu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 86th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Thanasis Koltsidas having to interfere. In the 88th minute, Frédson Lira hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 91st minute, AEK S.C's Vaggelis Mitsiou dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-2. The Dr Lecter SC supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching AEK S.C's performance. The match ended with a win for AEK S.C.
