Uriel Veremundo didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Elias Belarmo went, in the 5th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. 9 minutes into the match, Toronto FC's goal looked a bit too open when Elias Belarmo came free, but Uriel Veremundo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Serafino Dimo in the 13th minute of play forced New York RB's goalkeeper Domingos Hermon to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Uriel Veremundo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Elias Belarmo, who was totally free with the ball in the 14th minute. In the 16th minute, Eduardo Rainerio hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Elias Belarmo in the 22nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Uriel Veremundo prevented the ball from getting in the gole. When Leopoldo Banegas came up free with the goalie in the 27th minute, the Toronto FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Leopoldo Banegas couldn't finish the play. 29 minutes into the match, Toronto FC's goal looked a bit too open when Elias Belarmo came free, but Uriel Veremundo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 32 minutes into the match, New York RB's goalkeeper Domingos Hermon had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Serafino Dimo. Justino Pero kicked well hit freekick during the 35th minute of the match. Uriel Veremundo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Salvador Cidro, who was totally free with the ball in the 38th minute. 38 minutes into the match, Salvador Cidro notched a goal, 0-2, to the right of Toronto FC's Uriel Veremundo. Uriel Veremundo was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. The throw-in from Ubaldo Selmo in the 44th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by New York RB's Feliberto Dorio. Toronto FC's Leopoldo Banegas got a good chance for a goal in the 47th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Elias Belarmo made a kick off. With a little luck, Toronto FC's Uriel Veremundo got control of the ball when Elias Belarmo tried to sneak it across the goal line. After 54 played minutes Toronto FC got a freekick which was hit by Ruben Rexino. Uriel Veremundo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Salvador Cidro in the 85th minute of the match. Elias Belarmo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 93rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched New York RB eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
