Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) In the 4th minute Feliberto Beat shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Domingos Hermon saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Elias Belarmo got free with Godofredo Lop in the 9th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After 15 minutes, Orlando Fraco mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Corrientes FC and the New York RB players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 15th match minute, Corrientes FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Orlando Fraco to maneuver through the defense. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Salvador Cidro in the 16th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Godofredo Lop saved Corrientes FC from getting behind. Nunez Teyo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 18th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Domingos Hermon showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Nunez Teyo in the 22nd minute of the match. After a rather tough play, New York RB's Justino Pero got a free kick in the 26th minute. In the 31st minute, Nunez Teyo got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. New York RB's Domingos Hermon played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Orlando Fraco in the 37th minute of play. Nunez Teyo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 38th minute. Domingos Hermon tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Domingos Hermon took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Nunez Teyo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.
After 50 played minutes New York RB got a freekick which was hit by Feliberto Dorio. In the 52nd minute Nunez Teyo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Domingos Hermon saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 52nd match minute, Corrientes FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Augusto Madaleno to maneuver through the defense. In the 57thth minute of the game Salvador Cidro who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Corrientes FC's Godofredo Lop was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After having played for 58 minutes, Justino Pero managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. New York RB's supporters crossed their fingers, but Justino Pero was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. New York RB's Domingos Hermon proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 59th minute of the match, managed to save New York RB from getting a goal against them. Damian Gartzen charged in rather forcefully in the 62nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Damian Gartzen the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of New York RB booed when Corrientes FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 62 match minutes in a wonderful position. Damian Gartzen didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Justino Pero came up free with the goalie in the 67th minute, the New York RB fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Justino Pero couldn't finish the play. Orlando Fraco could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 75th minute of the match, but Domingos Hermon made a huge save. When Elias Belarmo fell near the penalty area in the 82nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored New York RB's protests and gave Elias Belarmo a yellow card for diving instead. After 82 played minutes New York RB got a freekick which was hit by Elias Belarmo. In the 84th minute Elias Belarmo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Godofredo Lop saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 86th minute Nunez Teyo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Domingos Hermon saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Domingos Hermon was out of position in the 89 minute of play, and Nunez Teyo capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Nunez Teyo really showed his touch with that goal: 0-1.
