In the 8th minute of the match AC LeX Luthor got a corner. A4p FC Gad's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Mario Yepes ran over to the corner to take the kick. AC LeX Luthor's Peep Pronk was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Glenn Fyfe in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. When the match clock showed 8 minutes, the score became 0-1 when Peep Pronk sped through A4p FC Gad's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Glenn Fyfe. In the 12th minute, Zeledon Savion ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Glenn Fyfe was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. After some fancy dribbling in the 15th minute, James Batistuta managed to get in a good position for a shot. A4p FC Gad's supporters rose to their feet, but James Batistuta was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Fulgencio Eyague breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. A4p FC Gad's Daniel Löfgren got a good chance for a goal in the 16th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 18th minute Peep Pronk shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Glenn Fyfe saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Peep Pronk in the 26th minute of play forced A4p FC Gad's goalkeeper Glenn Fyfe to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 27th match minute, A4p FC Gad was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Daniel Löfgren to maneuver through the defense. When the match had gone on for 29 minutes, Daniel Löfgren took a quick shot and it went in 1-2 without a chance for Fulgencio Eyague to make any attempt to save it. After 36 played minutes AC LeX Luthor got a freekick which was hit by Pancho Branca. Daniel Löfgren in the 41stth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Fulgencio Eyague, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. In the 45th minute, A4p FC Gad's James Batistuta dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 2-2. The score stood at 2-2 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

After 51 minutes of play, A4p FC Gad's James Batistuta made it 3-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Fulgencio Eyague was left in no man's land by his defense there! Fulgencio Eyague showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from James Batistuta in the 54th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by James Batistuta in the 59th minute of play forced AC LeX Luthor's goalkeeper Fulgencio Eyague to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 61 played minutes A4p FC Gad got a freekick which was hit by Marcin Pachucki. AC LeX Luthor made a substitution. Rodion Nikitin replaced Zeledon Savion. After 62 played minutes A4p FC Gad got a freekick which was hit by Marcin Pachucki. In the 71st minute, Flavius Cândroveanu left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The A4p FC Gad fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 4-2. AC LeX Luthor's Aristide Ciuvică was substituted for Peep Pronk. A4p FC Gad's Gică Busuioc was substituted for James Batistuta. 76 minutes into the game, Gică Busuioc cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 5-2. Fulgencio Eyague was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 80 minutes into the match, AC LeX Luthor's goal looked a bit too open when Gică Busuioc came free, but Fulgencio Eyague reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Fulgencio Eyague made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Flavius Cândroveanu in the 88th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Erasmo Damião in the 94th minute of play forced AC LeX Luthor's goalkeeper Fulgencio Eyague to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A collision led to AC LeX Luthor getting a freekick after 95 minutes play. Aristide Ciuvică hit a great ball. For all the effort they put into the match, the AC LeX Luthor players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for A4p FC Gad.
