Kim Alnes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 2nd minute. Serginho Taffarel tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When the match had gone on for 13 minutes, Toninho Goiano put it in 0-1 from a short distance just to the right of Christoffer Jørgensen. After having played for 16 minutes, Joel Quadros managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. MINEIROS's supporters crossed their fingers, but Joel Quadros was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Dan Ødegaard hit a great freekick 17 minutes into the match. Christian Fernandes hit a great freekick 19 minutes into the match. In the 20th match minute, MINEIROS was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Toninho Goiano to maneuver through the defense. Thanks to some nice moves Kim Alnes could shoot a difficult shot in the 24th minute, which Serginho Taffarel however easily saved by the left post. After 27 minutes, Jon-Egil Gjelsvik mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Åsnes and the MINEIROS players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 27th minute, Jon-Egil Gjelsvik hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 34th minute the ball was on its way in behind Åsnes's goalkeeper Christoffer Jørgensen, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Fredrik Hebnes could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 35th minute of the match, but Serginho Taffarel made a huge save. After some fancy dribbling in the 44th minute, Toninho Goiano managed to get in a good position for a shot. MINEIROS's supporters rose to their feet, but Toninho Goiano was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Christoffer Jørgensen breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Kim Alnes was the one to do the kick off. After a rather tough play, Åsnes's Dan Ødegaard got a free kick in the 55th minute. Joel Quadros fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 58th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Christoffer Jørgensen having to interfere. In the 64th minute, Toninho Goiano got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. MINEIROS made a substitution. Maicon Quintal replaced Joel Quadros. In the 70th minute, Hugo Albuquerque got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Dan Ødegaard sent away a hard shot on goal in the 78th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Benê Amorim came up free with the goalie in the 79th minute, the MINEIROS fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Benê Amorim couldn't finish the play. MINEIROS's Serginho Taffarel played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Kim Alnes in the 83rd minute of play. After a rather tough play, MINEIROS's João Vítor Linhares got a free kick in the 88th minute. In the 91st minute, Kim Alnes ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Serginho Taffarel was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-1. In the 95th minute, David Reitan got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal.
