After 17 played minutes Cruzeiro Esporte Clube got a freekick which was hit by Daniel Simões. 19 minutes into the game, 余永川 cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-0. Pascual Demario was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. With a little luck, Bairoletto FC's Pascual Demario got control of the ball when Brock Friend tried to sneak it across the goal line. If 余永川 had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 36th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. The supporters of Bairoletto FC booed when Cruzeiro Esporte Clube was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 37 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gong Fan didn't get a good kick on the ball. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-0.

The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Cruzeiro Esporte Clube fans cheered their team off the field, for while Bairoletto FC had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
