Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Honestra Haridinata in the 11th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Lope Abellaneda prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 12th minute Riswan Sanusi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lope Abellaneda saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 16 played minutes U21 Indonesia got a freekick which was hit by Dudan Kuncoro. Lope Abellaneda showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Riswan Sanusi in the 19th minute of the match. 21 minutes into the game, Honestra Haridinata cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Lope Abellaneda was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Ade Sudarno's late challenge caught a U21 Bolivia's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Ade Sudarno helped the player get up and apologised. In the 23rd match minute, U21 Indonesia was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ade Sudarno to maneuver through the defense. In the 27thth minute of the game Rolando Abella who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but U21 Indonesia's Suryo Zaelani was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After 30 played minutes U21 Bolivia got a freekick which was hit by Salvadore Abaunza. The supporters of U21 Bolivia booed when U21 Indonesia was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 32 match minutes in a wonderful position. Riswan Sanusi didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 42 played minutes, U21 Bolivia's Artur Abechuco shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Suryo Zaelani came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in U21 Bolivia reached it. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

U21 Bolivia made a substitution. Américo Díaz replaced Rolando Abella. The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Riswan Sanusi to strike the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by Honestra Haridinata in the 76th minute of play forced U21 Bolivia's goalkeeper Lope Abellaneda to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Anak Junior came free with the goalkeeper in the 78th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Lope Abellaneda could save by the left post. U21 Bolivia's defense didn't have a chance, in the 83rd minute, when Kaan Zoet scored to the left of an out of position Lope Abellaneda, making the score, 1-4. Anak Junior sent away a hard shot on goal in the 87th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Lope Abellaneda made an important save on a dangerous shot by Riswan Sanusi in the 96th minute. The U21 Bolivia fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. U21 Indonesia were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
