Markos Mavrikos could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 10th minute of the match, but Achilleas Mavilis made a huge save. The supporters of ΑΣΤΕΡΑΣ ΣΟΛΟΜΟΥ booed when PaoK Neapoleos was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 11 match minutes in a wonderful position. Petros Manousos didn't get a good kick on the ball. Theofilos Kaplanopoulos blasted a shot towards the goal in the 16th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Notis Lekkas having to make a save. After 20 played minutes PaoK Neapoleos got a freekick which was hit by Savas Papageorgiou. Notis Lekkas showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Theofilos Kaplanopoulos, who was totally free with the ball in the 22nd minute. When Manos Giotidis fell near the penalty area in the 24th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored PaoK Neapoleos's protests and gave Manos Giotidis a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to PaoK Neapoleos getting a freekick after 24 minutes play. Manos Giotidis hit a great ball. 25 minutes into the match, PaoK Neapoleos's goal looked a bit too open when Theofilos Kaplanopoulos came free, but Notis Lekkas reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in PaoK Neapoleos's zone, Theofilos Kaplanopoulos stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Notis Lekkas came out of the goal and Theofilos Kaplanopoulos tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 30th minute, Koulis Kourdos managed to get in a good position for a shot. ΑΣΤΕΡΑΣ ΣΟΛΟΜΟΥ's supporters rose to their feet, but Koulis Kourdos was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Notis Lekkas breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. ΑΣΤΕΡΑΣ ΣΟΛΟΜΟΥ's Achilleas Mavilis proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 31st minute of the match, managed to save ΑΣΤΕΡΑΣ ΣΟΛΟΜΟΥ from getting a goal against them. After 32 minutes, Theocharis Aggellakis mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the ΑΣΤΕΡΑΣ ΣΟΛΟΜΟΥ and the PaoK Neapoleos players grew even worse after the yellow card. Notis Lekkas showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Fanis Chrysafis, who was totally free with the ball in the 38th minute. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Manos Giotidis stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 53rd match minute, ΑΣΤΕΡΑΣ ΣΟΛΟΜΟΥ was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Miltos Zisis to maneuver through the defense. Koulis Kourdos received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 56th minute. Notis Lekkas tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a rather tough play, PaoK Neapoleos's Evripidis Sartzetakis got a free kick in the 57th minute. Theofilos Kaplanopoulos fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 58th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Notis Lekkas having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in ΑΣΤΕΡΑΣ ΣΟΛΟΜΟΥ's zone, Manos Giotidis stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Achilleas Mavilis came out of the goal and Manos Giotidis tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Achilleas Mavilis came out of the goal in the 77th minute to try and stop a shot by PaoK Neapoleos's Manos Giotidis. But to his dismay, Manos Giotidis quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. Notis Lekkas showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Theofilos Kaplanopoulos, who was totally free with the ball in the 83rd minute. After 86 minutes, Petros Manousos mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the PaoK Neapoleos and the ΑΣΤΕΡΑΣ ΣΟΛΟΜΟΥ players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 86 played minutes PaoK Neapoleos got a freekick which was hit by Petros Manousos. Theocharis Aggellakis might have been able to make a better finish in the 89th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Notis Lekkas. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Theocharis Aggellakis ran back to his position shaking his head. Koulis Kourdos sent away a hard shot on goal in the 91st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Notis Lekkas took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Koulis Kourdos, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. PaoK Neapoleos were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of ΑΣΤΕΡΑΣ ΣΟΛΟΜΟΥ for a fine match.
