Milyo Gelovski made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Vladko Pipkov in the 21st minute of play. In the 22nd minute, Asparuh Pisev hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Evrosi Popsavov showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tervel Royachki, who was totally free with the ball in the 26th minute. Gonzalo Higuaín's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Milyo Gelovski read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 29th minute of play. The supporters of Manchester United F.C. booed when FC Zhelezna was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 30 match minutes in a wonderful position. Pencho Ignev didn't get a good kick on the ball. Manchester United F.C.'s Trayan Kavalov got a good chance for a goal in the 32nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 38 minutes into the match, Manchester United F.C.'s Vladko Pipkov sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Milyo Gelovski narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Benislav Paziyski received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 46th minute. Evrosi Popsavov tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

When Toshko Yahlev fell near the penalty area in the 55th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored FC Zhelezna's protests and gave Toshko Yahlev a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to FC Zhelezna getting a freekick after 55 minutes play. Toshko Yahlev hit a great ball. Milyo Gelovski showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Vladko Pipkov in the 58th minute of the match. After 59 played minutes FC Zhelezna got a freekick which was hit by Toshko Yahlev. If Tervel Royachki had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 66th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 70th minute, Benislav Paziyski hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a defensive mix-up in Manchester United F.C.'s zone, Tervel Royachki stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Evrosi Popsavov came out of the goal and Tervel Royachki tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. FC Zhelezna's Milyo Gelovski played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Trayan Kavalov in the 80th minute of play. Evrosi Popsavov took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Benislav Paziyski, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 88th minute the ball was on its way in behind Manchester United F.C.'s goalkeeper Evrosi Popsavov, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 88th minute, Benislav Paziyski ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Evrosi Popsavov was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. In the 90th minute, Asparuh Pisev hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Benislav Paziyski might have been able to make a better finish in the 95th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Evrosi Popsavov. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Benislav Paziyski ran back to his position shaking his head. Jeers came from both ends of the stadium when the final whistle went. Neither team had looked impressive and the draw seeemd a fair result.
