The SSV Ulm 1846 fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Erich Pitten should have stopped the shot. 35 minutes into the game, Immanuel Baumann cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-4. Erich Pitten made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jon Bak in the 96th minute of play. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Hannover Reds had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
