In the 2nd match minute, Sydney FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Bernhard Butenschön to maneuver through the defense. Michael Bremicker made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Amadeo Bermel in the 5th minute of play. Conny Schuhmacher made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Richard Clemens in the 6th minute of play. 10 minutes into the match, Sydney FC's goalkeeper Michael Bremicker had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Lu Sang. 11 minutes into the match, Give Peace a Chance's goal looked a bit too open when Jakov Stähr came free, but Conny Schuhmacher reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Amadeo Bermel came up free with the goalie in the 13th minute, the Give Peace a Chance fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Amadeo Bermel couldn't finish the play. After 16 played minutes Give Peace a Chance got a freekick which was hit by Justin Hilpert. If Henrik Reifer had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 18th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Michael Bremicker showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Amadeo Bermel, who was totally free with the ball in the 25th minute. When Richard Clemens fell near the penalty area in the 29th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Sydney FC's protests and gave Richard Clemens a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Give Peace a Chance booed when Sydney FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 30 match minutes in a wonderful position. Richard Clemens didn't get a good kick on the ball. Lu Sang could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 31st minute of the match, but Michael Bremicker made a huge save. A collision led to Give Peace a Chance getting a freekick after 32 minutes play. Werner Zernicke hit a great ball. In the 33rd minute Jakov Stähr shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Conny Schuhmacher saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Sydney FC's Michael Bremicker played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Justin Hilpert in the 36th minute of play. Give Peace a Chance were awarded a corner in the 37th minute after Sydney FC's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Werner Zernicke took the corner. In the 42nd minute, Guy Rothe hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 43rd minute, Erich Egger hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. With a little luck, Sydney FC's Michael Bremicker got control of the ball when Lu Sang tried to sneak it across the goal line. Guy Rothe hit a great freekick 46 minutes into the match. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

In the 50th minute, Werner Zernicke hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 51 played minutes Sydney FC got a freekick which was hit by Erich Egger. Michael Bremicker made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lu Sang in the 53rd minute of play. 59 minutes into the match, Justin Hilpert notched a goal, 1-0, to the right of Sydney FC's Michael Bremicker. Michael Bremicker was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 64th minute, Mădălin Bacalu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Guy Rothe kicked well hit freekick during the 67th minute of the match. 68 minutes into the match, Sydney FC's goal looked a bit too open when Lu Sang came free, but Michael Bremicker reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 69 minutes of play, Give Peace a Chance's Justin Hilpert made it 2-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Michael Bremicker was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 74th minute Amadeo Bermel shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Michael Bremicker saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Kai Petermann hit a great freekick 77 minutes into the match. Michael Bremicker took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Lu Sang, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Justin Hilpert received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 85th minute. Michael Bremicker tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 87th minute, Richard Clemens managed to get in a good position for a shot. Sydney FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Richard Clemens was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Conny Schuhmacher breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Justin Hilpert fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 89th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Michael Bremicker having to interfere. A collision led to Sydney FC getting a freekick after 95 minutes play. August Gieß hit a great ball. The supporters of Sydney FC booed when Give Peace a Chance was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 96 match minutes in a wonderful position. Werner Zernicke didn't get a good kick on the ball. Give Peace a Chance walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
