Vorwärts Lübeck's supporters crossed their fingers, but Finnbogi Berkenheger was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The supporters of Vorwärts Lübeck booed when Blau Weiß Sauerland was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 60 match minutes in a wonderful position. Günther Josef didn't get a good kick on the ball.
