The audience thought a goal was coming when Camilo Fagildo got free with Victorino Bartuelo in the 3rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Efrain Itzaina received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 4th minute. Victorino Bartuelo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When the match had gone on for 5 minutes, Ildefonso Iratzeder took a quick shot and it went in 1-0 without a chance for Victorino Bartuelo to make any attempt to save it. The Ayapaso fans' excitement grew in the 9th match minute when Ayapaso's Ildefonso Iratzeder looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 2-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. In the 20th minute, Ildefonso Iratzeder ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Victorino Bartuelo was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-0. 22 minutes into the match, Estudiantes de la Plata's goal looked a bit too open when Camilo Fagildo came free, but Victorino Bartuelo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Camilo Fagildo in the 24th minute of play forced Estudiantes de la Plata's goalkeeper Victorino Bartuelo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 24 minutes into the game, Cristian Barbosa was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Estudiantes de la Plata's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Ayapaso the free kick. In the 24th minute, Cristian Barbosa hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. With a little luck, Estudiantes de la Plata's Victorino Bartuelo got control of the ball when Ricardo Venceslao tried to sneak it across the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ildefonso Iratzeder in the 29th minute of play forced Estudiantes de la Plata's goalkeeper Victorino Bartuelo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 29 minutes into the match, Ildefonso Iratzeder had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Victorino Bartuelo. Estudiantes de la Plata's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Ildefonso Iratzeder was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 4-0. Victorino Bartuelo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Efrain Itzaina, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 32 minutes into the match, Camilo Fagildo had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Victorino Bartuelo. Victorino Bartuelo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ildefonso Iratzeder in the 37th minute of the match. After having played for 38 minutes, Efrain Itzaina managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ayapaso's supporters crossed their fingers, but Efrain Itzaina was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Victorino Bartuelo made an important save on a dangerous shot by Gervasio Gaxan in the 39th minute. 47 minutes into the match, Ildefonso Iratzeder dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Victorino Bartuelo, 6-0. Af the end of the first half the score was 6-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

Victorino Bartuelo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ildefonso Iratzeder in the 53rd minute of play. Estudiantes de la Plata's Victorino Bartuelo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ricardo Venceslao in the 54th minute of play. In the 55th minute, Ildefonso Iratzeder made a precise shot to the right of Victorino Bartuelo. Estudiantes de la Plata's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 7-0. The referee felt a red card was in order, 58 minutes into the game, when Sven Scheffler put in a rough tackle. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 57th minute of the game. One of Estudiantes de la Plata:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Ayapaso:s goal. Estudiantes de la Plata:s Victorino Bartuelo showed great skill when he stopped Nicasio Ruy:s penalty. In the 59th minute, Nicasio Ruy made a precise shot to the right of Victorino Bartuelo. Estudiantes de la Plata's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 8-0. Camilo Fagildo might have been able to make a better finish in the 69th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Victorino Bartuelo. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Camilo Fagildo ran back to his position shaking his head. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Ricardo Venceslao in the 70th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Victorino Bartuelo saved Estudiantes de la Plata from getting behind. In the 77th minute Ildefonso Iratzeder shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Victorino Bartuelo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Victorino Bartuelo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ildefonso Iratzeder in the 83rd minute of the match. Victorino Bartuelo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Efrain Itzaina, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Ildefonso Iratzeder took the ball and in the 89 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Victorino Bartuelo. Victorino Bartuelo dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 11-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ildefonso Iratzeder in the 94th minute of play forced Estudiantes de la Plata's goalkeeper Victorino Bartuelo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 96 minutes into the game, Ayapaso's Ricardo Venceslao nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Victorino Bartuelo made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 12-0. When the referee ended the match the Ayapaso players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
