An unexpectedly hard shot by Beat Kellenberger in the 3rd minute of play forced Gimnasia y tiro's goalkeeper Ismael Ubarna to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Fernando Brion had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 6th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ismael Ubarna made an important save on a dangerous shot by Fabricio Otsoa in the 8th minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Fabricio Otsoa got free with Ismael Ubarna in the 9th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Epifanio Innocenzio hit a great freekick 12 minutes into the match. Gimnasia y tiro's Ismael Ubarna played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Fabricio Otsoa in the 13th minute of play. Fabricio Otsoa's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 15thth minute, Ismael Ubarna skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Ismael Ubarna took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Fabricio Otsoa, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Divorciados FC's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Faustino Jaen in the 18th minute. The supporters of Gimnasia y tiro booed when Divorciados FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 18 match minutes in a wonderful position. Teodosio Florin didn't get a good kick on the ball. 20 minutes into the game, Fernando Brion recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Ismael Ubarna. Fernando Brion showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-0. When Hernan Pero fell near the penalty area in the 23rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Gimnasia y tiro's protests and gave Hernan Pero a yellow card for diving instead. After 23 played minutes Gimnasia y tiro got a freekick which was hit by Hernan Pero. After a rather tough play, Divorciados FC's Fernando Brion got a free kick in the 29th minute. 31 minutes into the game, Eleuterio Dominguez was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Gimnasia y tiro's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Divorciados FC the free kick. In the 31st match minute, Gimnasia y tiro was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Eleuterio Dominguez to maneuver through the defense. Gimnasia y tiro's Ismael Ubarna played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Teodosio Florin in the 32nd minute of play. Ismael Ubarna made an important save on a dangerous shot by Fabricio Otsoa in the 35th minute. 40 minutes into the match, Beat Kellenberger notched a goal, 2-0, to the right of Gimnasia y tiro's Ismael Ubarna. Ismael Ubarna was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Fabricio Otsoa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 43rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Fabricio Otsoa could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 46th minute of the match, but Ismael Ubarna made a huge save. Ismael Ubarna came out of the goal in the 47th minute to try and stop a shot by Divorciados FC's Fernando Brion. But to his dismay, Fernando Brion quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-0. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 3-0 at half-time.
The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Fabricio Otsoa to strike the kick off in the second half. 53 minutes into the match, Gimnasia y tiro's goal looked a bit too open when Teodosio Florin came free, but Ismael Ubarna reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 55th minute Aaron Mantzio shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ismael Ubarna saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ismael Ubarna made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Beat Kellenberger in the 56th minute of play. 59 minutes into the game, Beat Kellenberger cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 4-0. Ismael Ubarna was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Ismael Ubarna showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Fabricio Otsoa in the 65th minute of the match. 66 minutes into the game, Teodosio Florin cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 6-0. Ismael Ubarna was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. A collision led to Divorciados FC getting a freekick after 68 minutes play. Aaron Mantzio hit a great ball. In the 71st minute Fabricio Otsoa shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ismael Ubarna saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Hernan Pero came up free with the goalie in the 72nd minute, the Gimnasia y tiro fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Hernan Pero couldn't finish the play. In the 74th minute Faustino Jaen shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ismael Ubarna saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Melquiades Martxot kicked well hit freekick during the 74th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Divorciados FC's Gabriel Madeo got a free kick in the 79th minute. Ismael Ubarna didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Fernando Brion went, in the 80th minute, to the upper right corner, 7-0 was the resulting score. Fernando Brion fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 83rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ismael Ubarna having to interfere. When Divorciados FC's Fabricio Otsoa in the 98th minute got a chance for a shot 98th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Gimnasia y tiro's goalie prevented a goal.
