Deportivo Pergamino's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Jacobo Chepe in the 17th minute. Deportivo Pergamino's Jacobo Chepe was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Santiago Gau in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Ciro Socorro in the 21st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Santiago Gau prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Santiago Gau made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ciro Socorro in the 25th minute of play. In the 27th match minute, Deportivo Pergamino was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Valmir Starova to maneuver through the defense. Santiago Gau showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ciro Socorro in the 31st minute of the match. The Mainumby fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Santiago Gau should have stopped the shot. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-4.
