Severo Ruy showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Julio Urko, who was totally free with the ball in the 3rd minute. In the 6th minute Julio Urko shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Severo Ruy saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Teobaldo Oier in the 8th minute of play forced Don Malbec's goalkeeper Aurelio Astudillo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 10th minute Armando Paredes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Severo Ruy saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Rodrigo Frichoso fell near the penalty area in the 10th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Boquenses's protests and gave Rodrigo Frichoso a yellow card for diving instead. In the 10th minute, Rodrigo Frichoso hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Severo Ruy took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Armando Paredes, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 11 minutes into the game, Don Malbec's Armando Paredes nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Severo Ruy made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Julio Urko in the 14th minute of play forced Boquenses's goalkeeper Severo Ruy to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Severo Ruy came out of the goal in the 14th minute to try and stop a shot by Don Malbec's Julio Urko. But to his dismay, Julio Urko quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Julio Urko in the 17th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Severo Ruy saved Boquenses from getting behind. 19 minutes into the match, Julio Urko had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Severo Ruy. Boquenses's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Julio Urko was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-3. Boquenses's Severo Ruy played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Pastor Celipe in the 24th minute of play. Aurelio Astudillo made an important save on a dangerous shot by Rodrigo Frichoso in the 28th minute. 36 minutes into the match, Boquenses's goal looked a bit too open when Armando Paredes came free, but Severo Ruy reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Aurelio Astudillo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rodrigo Frichoso in the 39th minute of the match. 40 minutes into the game, Anselmo Markel was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Boquenses's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Don Malbec the free kick. In the 40th match minute, Boquenses was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Anselmo Markel to maneuver through the defense. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Armando Paredes during the 41st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Boquenses booed when Don Malbec was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 41 match minutes in a wonderful position. Armando Paredes didn't get a good kick on the ball.
The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Leonides Lawrence stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After taking down the ball on Don Malbec's corner Antonio Delfino fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Severo Ruy quite easily take care of the ball. In the 67th minute, Alberto Udalaitz hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Rodolfo Quito fell near the penalty area in the 68th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Don Malbec's protests and gave Rodolfo Quito a yellow card for diving instead. Vladimiro Vincent's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Aurelio Astudillo read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 69th minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Armando Paredes got free with Severo Ruy in the 72nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Armando Paredes's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 96thth minute, Severo Ruy skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Don Malbec were delighted with the way they had won the match. They had held their defensive line well and made the most of their chances, to claim a victory over Boquenses's much stronger midfield.
