In the 9th minute, Severino Niva hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 11th minute Shi Yao Zhen shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Keylor Navas saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a little luck, Defensores del Albinegro's Clemente Manco got control of the ball when Erland Möllgren tried to sneak it across the goal line. The Defensores del Albinegro fans' excitement grew in the 23rd match minute when Defensores del Albinegro's Cesar Gutierrez looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Pastor Lixandro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 27th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Keylor Navas having to interfere. A collision led to Papillon AC getting a freekick after 33 minutes play. Erland Möllgren hit a great ball. In the 36th match minute, Defensores del Albinegro was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Tomas Mikelar to maneuver through the defense. Simon Osasun fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 37th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Clemente Manco having to interfere. Cesar Gutierrez struck a weak shot in the 39th minute. Keylor Navas didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Defensores del Albinegro. In the 40th match minute, Defensores del Albinegro was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ensio Fernandez to maneuver through the defense. Clemente Manco took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Oscar Urki, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Cesar Gutierrez was the one to do the kick off. In the 51st minute, Ensio Fernandez made a precise shot to the right of Keylor Navas. Papillon AC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-2. Miguel Froila took the ball and in the 56 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Keylor Navas. Keylor Navas dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-3. 62 minutes into the match, Papillon AC's goal looked a bit too open when Li Sha Yuan came free, but Keylor Navas reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Keylor Navas didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Cesar Gutierrez went, in the 64th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-4 was the resulting score. In the 69th minute, Li Sha Yuan made a precise shot to the right of Keylor Navas. Papillon AC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-5. Cesar Gutierrez did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 0-6 to the left of a surprised Keylor Navas 72 minutes into the match. Cesar Gutierrez kicked well hit freekick during the 76th minute of the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Cesar Gutierrez in the 83rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Keylor Navas saved Papillon AC from getting behind. Octavio Dodorol hit a great freekick 84 minutes into the match. Keylor Navas showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cesar Gutierrez in the 86th minute of the match. In the 87th minute, Victoriano Mikelats hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 87th match minute, Papillon AC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Erland Möllgren to maneuver through the defense. Victoriano Mikelats hit a great freekick 93 minutes into the match. With his leg Keylor Navas managed to avoid a goal in the 95thth minute, when Defensores del Albinegro's Cesar Gutierrez fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Defensores del Albinegro played a much better game than Papillon AC and deserved their victory. The Papillon AC players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
