A collision led to Rondeau getting a freekick after 2 minutes play. Arnoldo Izotz hit a great ball. 5 minutes into the match, Rondeau's goalkeeper Genaro Sidro had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Gerardo Arnau. Ramon Kemen sent away a hard shot on goal in the 9th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Rondeau's Genaro Sidro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gerardo Arnau in the 13th minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Ramon Kemen in the 18th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Modesto Weterio saved ᴄʟᴜʙ ᴀᴛʟᴇᴛɪᴄᴏ ᴛᴜᴄᴜᴍᴀɴ from getting behind. After a defensive mix-up in Rondeau's zone, Gerardo Arnau stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Genaro Sidro came out of the goal and Gerardo Arnau tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When Alfredo Montrell came up free with the goalie in the 30th minute, the ᴄʟᴜʙ ᴀᴛʟᴇᴛɪᴄᴏ ᴛᴜᴄᴜᴍᴀɴ fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Alfredo Montrell couldn't finish the play. Ramon Kemen might have been able to make a better finish in the 32nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Modesto Weterio. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Ramon Kemen ran back to his position shaking his head. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

Genaro Sidro showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gerardo Arnau in the 51st minute of the match. In the 53rd minute ᴄʟᴜʙ ᴀᴛʟᴇᴛɪᴄᴏ ᴛᴜᴄᴜᴍᴀɴ were awarded a corner. Mauro Galeno went to the cornerflag to take it. ᴄʟᴜʙ ᴀᴛʟᴇᴛɪᴄᴏ ᴛᴜᴄᴜᴍᴀɴ's Arnaldo Cresconio was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Genaro Sidro in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Alfredo Montrell during the 58th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to ᴄʟᴜʙ ᴀᴛʟᴇᴛɪᴄᴏ ᴛᴜᴄᴜᴍᴀɴ getting a freekick after 58 minutes play. Alfredo Montrell hit a great ball. When ᴄʟᴜʙ ᴀᴛʟᴇᴛɪᴄᴏ ᴛᴜᴄᴜᴍᴀɴ's Rosendo Enaut in the 63rd minute got a chance for a shot 63rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Rondeau's goalie prevented a goal. Ramon Kemen scored 1-1 in the 67th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Modesto Weterio, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Rondeau's Matias Feliz was substituted for Justino Roderigo. In the 74th minute Alfredo Montrell shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Genaro Sidro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Matias Feliz recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 79th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Alfredo Montrell sent away a hard shot on goal in the 83rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Lucio Nabar hit a great freekick 85 minutes into the match. 88 minutes into the game, Matias Feliz recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Modesto Weterio. Matias Feliz showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-2. In the 92nd minute Alfredo Montrell shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Genaro Sidro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 96 played minutes ᴄʟᴜʙ ᴀᴛʟᴇᴛɪᴄᴏ ᴛᴜᴄᴜᴍᴀɴ got a freekick which was hit by Benjamin Pudes. Arnoldo Izotz might have been able to make a better finish in the 97th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Modesto Weterio. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Arnoldo Izotz ran back to his position shaking his head. Chants of Rondeau echoed around the stadium as the match drew to a close. Supporters and players were both delighted with the win, as ᴄʟᴜʙ ᴀᴛʟᴇᴛɪᴄᴏ ᴛᴜᴄᴜᴍᴀɴ had held the ball for most of the match.
