In the 12th minute, Chappuis Braña hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 13th match minute, Universitario Pincharrata was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Javier Mazzoni to maneuver through the defense. 16 minutes into the game, Universitario Pincharrata's Nunez Fidele nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Benicio Gaitan made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-0. 21 minutes into the match, Catarinense F.C.'s goal looked a bit too open when Nunez Fidele came free, but Benicio Gaitan reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Niceto Baumer who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 27thth minute tested the skills of Benicio Gaitan when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Universitario Pincharrata's Prince Sosa pulled a muscle in his leg after 28 minutes and couldn't finish the game. 28 minutes into the game, Tadeo Abilio was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Catarinense F.C.'s manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Universitario Pincharrata the free kick. In the 40th minute, Chappuis Braña reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Benicio Gaitan. The goal made the score 6-0. Niceto Baumer took the ball and in the 44 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Benicio Gaitan. Benicio Gaitan dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 7-0. After a rather tough play, Catarinense F.C.'s Romeo Osorio got a free kick in the 47th minute. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 7-0 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Godfredo Fonda made a kick off. After a defensive mix-up in Catarinense F.C.'s zone, Hugo Gottardi stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Benicio Gaitan came out of the goal and Hugo Gottardi tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 58 minutes into the match, Niceto Baumer had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Benicio Gaitan. Catarinense F.C.'s manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Niceto Baumer was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 8-0. Godfredo Fonda fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 61st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Benicio Gaitan having to interfere.
