Christian Bergqvist sent away a hard shot on goal in the 7th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Elias Clis made in the 10th minute of the game a sloppy throw-in which Horacio Criston however managed to control. An unexpectedly hard shot by Christian Bergqvist in the 15th minute of play forced Quilmes's goalkeeper Godofredo Carlomagno to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Christian Bergqvist sent away a hard shot on goal in the 22nd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Godofredo Carlomagno took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Christian Bergqvist, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. A collision led to ROSARIO CENTRAL F.C. getting a freekick after 29 minutes play. Cleto Onbera hit a great ball. In the 32nd minute, ROSARIO CENTRAL F.C.'s goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Victoriano Mirande fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Godofredo Carlomagno showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Marco Ruben, who was totally free with the ball in the 41st minute. The supporters of ROSARIO CENTRAL F.C. booed when Quilmes was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 41 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rigoberto Argoitz didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 43rd minute, Christian Bergqvist hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Quilmes's Godofredo Carlomagno played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Christian Bergqvist in the 47th minute of play. After 47 minutes of play, ROSARIO CENTRAL F.C.'s Christian Bergqvist made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Godofredo Carlomagno was left in no man's land by his defense there! Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Marco Ruben to make the kick off. 54 minutes into the game, ROSARIO CENTRAL F.C.'s Christian Bergqvist nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Godofredo Carlomagno made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. ROSARIO CENTRAL F.C.'s Wincenty Wykowski was substituted for Fernando Bot. ROSARIO CENTRAL F.C. made a substitution. Wilfredo Peli replaced Marco Ruben. 61 minutes in the game Elias Clis did a throw-in, and the ball was quickly in game thanks to Donato Arotza. Santiago Indalecio was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-2. ROSARIO CENTRAL F.C.'s Santiago Indalecio played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rigoberto Argoitz in the 74th minute of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Wilfredo Peli during the 77th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, Quilmes's Valentin Shepherd got a free kick in the 79th minute. Elias Clis hit a great freekick 81 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Christian Bergqvist in the 84th minute of play forced Quilmes's goalkeeper Godofredo Carlomagno to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After having played for 90 minutes, Wilfredo Peli managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. ROSARIO CENTRAL F.C.'s supporters crossed their fingers, but Wilfredo Peli was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 92nd minute of the match, Christian Bergqvist tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Godofredo Carlomagno saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. 94 minutes into the match, Christian Bergqvist notched a goal, 1-3, to the right of Quilmes's Godofredo Carlomagno. Godofredo Carlomagno was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. If Victoriano Mirande had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 97th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched ROSARIO CENTRAL F.C. eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
