Agustin Avellaneda made a fantastic save in the 26th minute, when Patricio Villacorta sent off a good shot on target. Alisson Becker made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-3. Alisson Becker came out of the goal and Hipolito Abad tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The Real Juniors players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Sportivo Chupeño were winning 0-3.

The wind increased when Hipolito Abad made the kick off in the second half. Alberto Martinez was shown his second yellow card after 53 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. In the 53rd match minute, Real Juniors was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alberto Martinez to maneuver through the defense. In the 62nd minute, Carlos Bran hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Hipolito Abad in the 64th minute of play forced Real Juniors's goalkeeper Alisson Becker to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Patricio Villacorta in the 74th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Agustin Avellaneda prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The audience was convinced that Hipolito Abad's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Alisson Becker was relentless in the 79th minute of the game. Alisson Becker made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Goizeder Abeita in the 81st minute of play. In the 83rd minute, Hipolito Abad got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After taking down the ball on Sportivo Chupeño's corner Gonzo Abastas fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Alisson Becker quite easily take care of the ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Goizeder Abeita during the 93rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, Sportivo Chupeño's Goizeder Abeita got a free kick in the 93rd minute. Patricio Villacorta fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 94th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Agustin Avellaneda having to interfere. When the match was over Sportivo Chupeño could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Real Juniors throughout the match.
