Quirze Millon was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Quirze Millon took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Santikurtz Paza, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 17th match minute, Universitario was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Remigio Pisciña to maneuver through the defense. Henrique Lampez received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 26th minute. Quirze Millon tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Quirze Millon didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Henrique Lampez went, in the 28th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-3 was the resulting score. Santikurtz Paza's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Quirze Millon read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 31st minute of play. After 33 played minutes Borussia Dortmund got a freekick which was hit by Eli Alvarez. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Santikurtz Paza in the 35th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Quirze Millon saved Universitario from getting behind. After having played for 36 minutes, Santikurtz Paza managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Borussia Dortmund's supporters crossed their fingers, but Santikurtz Paza was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Santikurtz Paza's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Quirze Millon read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 39th minute of play.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Remigio Pisciña to make the kick off. In the 51st play minute Henrique Lampez came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Quirze Millon. 0-4. Jaizki Onez shot from long distance after 67 played minutes, a shot that Quirze Millon with certain difficulty stopped from going in under the crossbar. 71 minutes into the game, Borussia Dortmund's Santikurtz Paza nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Quirze Millon made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-6. Quirze Millon made an important save on a dangerous shot by Santikurtz Paza in the 79th minute. After having played for 80 minutes, Santikurtz Paza managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. The supporters of Universitario booed when Borussia Dortmund was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 93 match minutes in a wonderful position. Eli Alvarez didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Santikurtz Paza came up free with the goalie in the 96th minute, the Borussia Dortmund fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Santikurtz Paza couldn't finish the play. Borussia Dortmund played a much better game than Universitario and deserved their victory. The Universitario players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
