Xosepin Garate showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-0. After 30 minutes, Xosepin Garate made it 2-0 with a short kick to the right side. Universitario de deportes's Arnulfo Casas tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Xosepin Garate struck a weak shot in the 39th minute. Arnulfo Casas didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Pampas Team. In the 45th play minute Xosepin Garate came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Arnulfo Casas. 3-0. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 3-0.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Abel Figueres stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Abel Figueres in the 52nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Urbano Belalcaraz prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Xosepin Garate scored 4-0 in the 60th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Arnulfo Casas, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Pampas Team's Maule Crespo was substituted for Apat Cazorla. Universitario de deportes's Arnulfo Casas played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Xosepin Garate in the 69th minute of play. Arnulfo Casas stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Xosepin Garate's shot from short distance in the 74th minute. 75 minutes into the match, Universitario de deportes's goal looked a bit too open when Xosepin Garate came free, but Arnulfo Casas reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.
