Nicolas Sousa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 14th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Hernani Recife showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Nicolas Sousa in the 44th minute of the match. When Anísio Rezende fell near the penalty area in the 45th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Toa Toa 4EVER's protests and gave Anísio Rezende a yellow card for diving instead. Anísio Rezende kicked well hit freekick during the 45th minute of the match. In the 46th minute Luciano Quintal shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hernani Recife saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Alex de Toledo to strike the kick off in the second half. 54 minutes into the match, Montesclarense E.C.'s goal looked a bit too open when Severino de Senna came free, but Orlando Dante reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 62nd minute, Alex de Toledo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The crowd rose to their feet as Montesclarense E.C.'s Nicolas Sousa slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Hernani Recife. That made the score 0-2 after 65 minutes of play. After having played for 83 minutes, Fellipe dos Santos managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Montesclarense E.C.'s supporters crossed their fingers, but Fellipe dos Santos was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. With his leg Hernani Recife managed to avoid a goal in the 88thth minute, when Montesclarense E.C.'s Nicolas Sousa fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. When the match was over Montesclarense E.C. could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Toa Toa 4EVER throughout the match.
