After 4 played minutes Crisólia FBPA got a freekick which was hit by Osvaldo Vergílio. Luiz Fernando Furlan blasted a shot towards the goal in the 10th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Samuca Lara having to make a save. In the 18th minute Osvaldo Vergílio shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Samuca Lara saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 25 played minutes Crisólia FBPA got a freekick which was hit by Jano da Rocha. After some fancy dribbling in the 30th minute, Osvaldo Vergílio managed to get in a good position for a shot. Crisólia FBPA's supporters rose to their feet, but Osvaldo Vergílio was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Samuca Lara breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 32 minutes into the game, Luiz Fernando Furlan cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Samuca Lara was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Osvaldo Vergílio blasted a shot towards the goal in the 35th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Samuca Lara having to make a save. 35 minutes into the match, Luiz Fernando Furlan notched a goal, 0-2, to the right of As de Ouro's Samuca Lara. Samuca Lara was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Osvaldo Vergílio kicked well hit freekick during the 39th minute of the match. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Luiz Fernando Furlan to make the kick off. 52 minutes into the game, Osvaldo Vergílio cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-4. In the 55th minute of the match, Osvaldo Vergílio got a very nice opportunity to score, but Samuca Lara was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. After 57 minutes of play, Crisólia FBPA's Osvaldo Vergílio made it 0-5 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Samuca Lara was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the last second Samuca Lara throw himself and got hold of the ball when Luiz Fernando Furlan in the 60thth minute from his position got away a shot towards the right post. Osvaldo Vergílio might have been able to make a better finish in the 61st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Samuca Lara. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Osvaldo Vergílio ran back to his position shaking his head. Ramiro Meireles charged in rather forcefully in the 63rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Ramiro Meireles the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of As de Ouro booed when Crisólia FBPA was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 63 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ramiro Meireles didn't get a good kick on the ball. Glauco Marinho took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Virgílio Sanches, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side.
