Michel Alves showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Luís Paulo Pernambucano, who was totally free with the ball in the 8th minute. In the 16thth minute of the game Luís Paulo Pernambucano who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but JotaPaTos's Michel Alves was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. When October 04's Luís Paulo Pernambucano in the 17th minute got a chance for a shot 17th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. When the match had gone on for 33 minutes, Luís Paulo Pernambucano put it in 0-4 from a short distance just to the right of Michel Alves. When the match clock showed 48 minutes, the score became 0-5 when Luís Eduardo França sped through JotaPaTos's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Michel Alves. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-5 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Luís Paulo Pernambucano made a kick off. Luís Eduardo França received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 53rd minute. Michel Alves tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 56th minute, Luís Paulo Pernambucano left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The October 04 fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-6. Sydney Barros scored 1-6 in the 61st match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Davi Couto, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Michel Alves stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Luís Paulo Pernambucano's shot from short distance in the 68th minute. Luís Paulo Pernambucano received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 70th minute. Michel Alves tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. October 04 made a substitution. Jorginho Antunes replaced Tião Amaral. The audience was convinced that Luís Paulo Pernambucano's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Michel Alves was relentless in the 74th minute of the game. Michel Alves came out of the goal in the 84th minute to try and stop a shot by October 04's Luís Paulo Pernambucano. But to his dismay, Luís Paulo Pernambucano quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-10. After 89 played minutes, October 04's Alex Mello shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Michel Alves came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in October 04 reached it. Michel Alves stood somewhat misplaced when Luís Paulo Pernambucano came free in front of goal and shot 1-11 to the left of him in the 91 minute. Luís Paulo Pernambucano fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 94th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Michel Alves having to interfere. An unexpected shot in the 98th minute by Luís Eduardo França got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side.
