In the 21stth minute of the game Dário Cardoso who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Sport Guild Atlantis's Válter Peixoto was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 22 minutes into the game, Raí de Andrade was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Sport Guild Atlantis's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave UPTEXTIL.COM the free kick. A collision led to Sport Guild Atlantis getting a freekick after 22 minutes play. Raí de Andrade hit a great ball. The audience was convinced that Dário Cardoso's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Válter Peixoto was relentless in the 23rd minute of the game. Raí de Andrade was shown his second yellow card after 23 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. In the 24th minute, Raí de Andrade hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Dário Cardoso in the 25th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Válter Peixoto saved Sport Guild Atlantis from getting behind. Válter Peixoto came out of the goal in the 26th minute to try and stop a shot by UPTEXTIL.COM's Jeremias Pinheiro. But to his dismay, Jeremias Pinheiro quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. The supporters of UPTEXTIL.COM booed when Sport Guild Atlantis was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 29 match minutes in a wonderful position. José Augusto Quadros didn't get a good kick on the ball. Válter Peixoto took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from José Carlos Arantes, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Eusébio Paraíba in the 40th minute of play forced Sport Guild Atlantis's goalkeeper Válter Peixoto to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 41 minutes into the match, Sport Guild Atlantis's goal looked a bit too open when José Carlos Arantes came free, but Válter Peixoto reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some careless play in the Sport Guild Atlantis defense, Eusébio Paraíba kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Válter Peixoto. The Sport Guild Atlantis fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Válter Peixoto should have stopped the shot. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Dário Cardosos short, quick shot in the 87thth minute got Válter Peixoto to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. With a little luck, Sport Guild Atlantis's Válter Peixoto got control of the ball when Eusébio Paraíba tried to sneak it across the goal line. Válter Peixoto showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jeremias Pinheiro in the 91st minute of the match.
