Vivaldo Barral could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 12th minute of the match, but Allan Queirós made a huge save. After 13 played minutes Coelho FC got a freekick which was hit by Carlos Augusto Linhares. Carlos Augusto Linhares charged in rather forcefully in the 17th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Carlos Augusto Linhares the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Allan Queirós showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dênis Matos in the 33rd minute of the match. The crowd rose to their feet as Coelho FC's Luís Guilherme Vale slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Allan Queirós. That made the score 4-0 after 34 minutes of play. Coelho FC's Romário Vianna played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cleiton Gerber in the 39th minute of play. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 5-0.

51 minutes into the game, Luís Fábio de Alcântara was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Palmeiras - Tia Leila's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Coelho FC the free kick. When the referee ended the match the Coelho FC players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
