In the 14th minute Samuel Souza shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Arthur Bufi saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Arthur Bufi made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Danilo Errolan in the 22nd minute of play. Arthur Bufi showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ernesto Dante, who was totally free with the ball in the 26th minute. Cruzeiro Esporte Clube's Arthur Bufi played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ernesto Dante in the 29th minute of play. Arthur Bufi made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from André Luís Martins in the 30th minute of play. Diamantino Senna was a little too slow when 余永川 got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 38th minute. The score was now 1-0. Cruzeiro Esporte Clube's Arthur Bufi played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Danilo Errolan in the 43rd minute of play. Wágner Torres hit a great freekick 44 minutes into the match. André Luís Martins took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 46th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Arthur Bufi. Cruzeiro Esporte Clube's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Brock Friend stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. 53 minutes into the game, Wágner Torres was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Cruzeiro Esporte Clube's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Futbol Club RRFV the free kick. After 53 played minutes Cruzeiro Esporte Clube got a freekick which was hit by Wágner Torres. Arthur Bufi made a fantastic save in the 55th minute, when Ernesto Dante sent off a good shot on target. Arthur Bufi showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from André Luís Martins in the 58th minute of the match. Cruzeiro Esporte Clube's Celsinho Castro was substituted for Juan Pablo Sorin. After 67 minutes, Brock Friend mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Cruzeiro Esporte Clube and the Futbol Club RRFV players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Cruzeiro Esporte Clube getting a freekick after 67 minutes play. Brock Friend hit a great ball. 75 minutes into the match, 余永川 had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Diamantino Senna. Futbol Club RRFV's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that 余永川 was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-1. 77 minutes into the game, Guga Tepedino was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Futbol Club RRFV's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Cruzeiro Esporte Clube the free kick. A beautiful save bye Futbol Club RRFV's goalie prevented a goal.
