Dino Rulli showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cesare Chizzo in the 4th minute of the match. 5 minutes into the match, AC Roma's Alessio Odisio sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Dino Rulli narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 10 minutes into the game, Fausto Tomasso was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Velester Football Club's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave AC Roma the free kick. After a rather tough play, Velester Football Club's Fausto Tomasso got a free kick in the 10th minute. In the 18thth minute of the game Aurelio Barresi who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Velester Football Club's Dino Rulli was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 19th minute Cesare Chizzo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dino Rulli saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Felice Fantozzi fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 21st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dino Rulli having to interfere. In the 28th minute, Cesare Chizzo ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Dino Rulli was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. In the 30th minute, Felice Fantozzi ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Dino Rulli was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Cesare Chizzo in the 38th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Dino Rulli saved Velester Football Club from getting behind. In the 39th minute, Cesare Chizzo ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Dino Rulli was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-3. Cesare Chizzo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 41st minute. Dino Rulli tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Angelo Nola kicked well hit freekick during the 44th minute of the match. After the first half AC Roma were leading 0-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The wind increased when Felice Fantozzi made the kick off in the second half. Velester Football Club's Dino Rulli proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 51st minute of the match, managed to save Velester Football Club from getting a goal against them. Dino Rulli was a little too slow when Felice Fantozzi got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 51st minute. The score was now 0-4. 55 minutes into the match, Velester Football Club's goalkeeper Dino Rulli had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Felice Fantozzi. 60 minutes into the match, AC Roma's goal looked a bit too open when Amos Marchesani came free, but Carlo Cirone reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Felice Fantozzi got free with Dino Rulli in the 63rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Dino Rulli made a fantastic save in the 65th minute, when Felice Fantozzi sent off a good shot on target. After 68 minutes, Alessio Odisio mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the AC Roma and the Velester Football Club players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 68th match minute, AC Roma was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alessio Odisio to maneuver through the defense. Carlo Cirone made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Amos Marchesani in the 71st minute of play. In the 79th minute, Alexander Paglione hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Fabrizio Pich in the 82nd minute of play forced AC Roma's goalkeeper Carlo Cirone to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Alessio Odisio could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 83rd minute of the match, but Dino Rulli made a huge save. After a rather tough play, Velester Football Club's Concetto Guadagnoli got a free kick in the 84th minute. After 86 played minutes AC Roma got a freekick which was hit by Alessio Odisio. In the 90thth minute of the game Aurelio Barresi who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Velester Football Club's Dino Rulli was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. With a little luck, Velester Football Club's Dino Rulli got control of the ball when Cesare Chizzo tried to sneak it across the goal line. A collision led to Velester Football Club getting a freekick after 95 minutes play. Fausto Tomasso hit a great ball. Alexander Paglione's late challenge caught a AC Roma's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Alexander Paglione helped the player get up and apologised. When the final whistle sounded AC Roma left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Velester Football Club.
