In the 6th minute, Amos Maietta made a precise shot to the right of Amos Colagrossi. SSC Meno Male's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-0. The attack was good, but when Ferruccio Scevola in the 13th minute was about to shoot he didn't kick quite good enough and the ball went high over goal. After having played for 15 minutes, Dennis Giampieri managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. SSC Meno Male's supporters crossed their fingers, but Dennis Giampieri was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. SSC Meno Male's Amos Colagrossi proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 18th minute of the match, managed to save SSC Meno Male from getting a goal against them. When Dennis Giampieri came up free with the goalie in the 19th minute, the SSC Meno Male fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Dennis Giampieri couldn't finish the play. In the 22nd match minute, Bar Marconi United was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Camillo Piccone to maneuver through the defense. In the 23rd minute of the match Marcial Meder shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Franco Di Giambattista showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. In the 24th minute of the match SSC Meno Male got a corner. Bar Marconi United's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Marcial Meder ran over to the corner to take the kick. SSC Meno Male's Marcial Meder was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Franco Di Giambattista in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. SSC Meno Male's Amos Colagrossi proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 25th minute of the match, managed to save SSC Meno Male from getting a goal against them. Emanuel Obafuso fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 28th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Franco Di Giambattista having to interfere. SSC Meno Male's Ferruccio Scevola got a good chance for a goal in the 31st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Franco Di Giambattista took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ferruccio Scevola, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 35 minutes of play, SSC Meno Male's Emanuel Obafuso made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Franco Di Giambattista was left in no man's land by his defense there! Franco Di Giambattista showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dennis Giampieri in the 38th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ferruccio Scevola in the 39th minute of play forced Bar Marconi United's goalkeeper Franco Di Giambattista to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The supporters of SSC Meno Male booed when Bar Marconi United was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 40 match minutes in a wonderful position. Amedeo Testa didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 42nd match minute, Bar Marconi United was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Amos Maietta to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ferruccio Scevola in the 43rd minute of play forced Bar Marconi United's goalkeeper Franco Di Giambattista to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Franco Di Giambattista showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Emanuel Obafuso in the 45th minute of the match. When Amedeo Testa came up free with the goalie in the 46th minute, the Bar Marconi United fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Amedeo Testa couldn't finish the play. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The wind increased when Ferruccio Scevola made the kick off in the second half. Amos Colagrossi made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Amos Maietta in the 50th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Emanuel Obafuso in the 52nd minute of play forced Bar Marconi United's goalkeeper Franco Di Giambattista to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Amos Colagrossi took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Amedeo Testa, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ferruccio Scevola in the 58th minute of play forced Bar Marconi United's goalkeeper Franco Di Giambattista to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 59 minutes into the match, Bar Marconi United's Amedeo Testa sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Amos Colagrossi narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 63 minutes into the match, Bar Marconi United's goal looked a bit too open when Ferruccio Scevola came free, but Franco Di Giambattista reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When SSC Meno Male's Ferruccio Scevola in the 67th minute got a chance for a shot 67th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Bar Marconi United's goalie prevented a goal. In the 72nd match minute, Bar Marconi United was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Amedeo Testa to maneuver through the defense. Thanks to some nice moves Emanuel Obafuso could shoot a difficult shot in the 73rd minute, which Franco Di Giambattista however easily saved by the left post. Bar Marconi United's Franco Di Giambattista played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dennis Giampieri in the 74th minute of play. Franco Di Giambattista made a fantastic save in the 77th minute, when Gaston Venceslao sent off a good shot on target. Amos Colagrossi came out of the goal in the 78th minute to try and stop a shot by Bar Marconi United's Amedeo Testa. But to his dismay, Amedeo Testa quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-1. Bar Marconi United's Franco Di Giambattista proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 81st minute of the match, managed to save Bar Marconi United from getting a goal against them. In the 87th minute, Bar Marconi United's Camillo Piccone seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Camillo Piccone the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Bar Marconi United protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Camillo Piccone had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. Franco Di Giambattista had in the 88thth minute some difficulties stopping Marcial Meder's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. SSC Meno Male were awarded a corner in the 89th minute after Bar Marconi United's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Marcial Meder took the corner. After taking down the ball on SSC Meno Male's corner Marcial Meder fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Franco Di Giambattista quite easily take care of the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Ferruccio Scevola in the 91st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Franco Di Giambattista prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Ferruccio Scevola might have been able to make a better finish in the 95th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Franco Di Giambattista. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Ferruccio Scevola ran back to his position shaking his head. Bar Marconi United's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
