The referee ignored Red Reign's protests and gave Kaviedes Cordova a yellow card for diving instead. Kaviedes Cordova hit a great freekick 14 minutes into the match. In the 17th minute Arlín Telleria shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Patryk Basaik saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Dannes Asuaga got free with Oso Udoy in the 46th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 47 minutes into the game, Xaven Monzonis was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Real Guayaquil.F.C.'s manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Red Reign the free kick. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Dannes Asuaga was the one to do the kick off. Arlín Telleria recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 57th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Patryk Basaik came out of the goal in the 59th minute to try and stop a shot by Red Reign's Arlín Telleria. But to his dismay, Arlín Telleria quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. With a little luck, Real Guayaquil.F.C.'s Patryk Basaik got control of the ball when Arlín Telleria tried to sneak it across the goal line. Patryk Basaik had great luck who in the 68thth minute grab hold of the ball when Barros Somiedo from a short distance tried to put the ball inside the right post. In the 68th minute, Oswaldo Maceira hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Patryk Basaik showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Arlín Telleria in the 69th minute of the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Arlín Telleria got free with Patryk Basaik in the 72nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Arlín Telleria sent away a hard shot on goal in the 74th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. With an all-out effort, Red Reign's Patryk Basaik threw himself towards the right post 74 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Arlín Telleria, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Red Reign's Lopez Portanares got a good chance for a goal in the 75th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar.
