The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Fabian Sala during the 3rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 3 played minutes Loja S.C. got a freekick which was hit by Fabian Sala. A collision led to RockCity F.C. getting a freekick after 6 minutes play. Félix Cisneros hit a great ball. In the 10th minute, Zayveon Quiroz made a precise shot to the right of Joel Caton. Loja S.C.'s defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. Joel Caton showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Zayveon Quiroz, who was totally free with the ball in the 13th minute. 15 minutes into the match, RockCity F.C.'s goal looked a bit too open when Atilano Rojas came free, but Ramon Simons reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With an all-out effort, Loja S.C.'s Ramon Simons threw himself towards the right post 19 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Atilano Rojas, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. The audience was convinced that Atilano Rojas's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Ramon Simons was relentless in the 19th minute of the game. 27 minutes into the match, RockCity F.C.'s goalkeeper Ramon Simons had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Fabricio Vedeja. With an all-out effort, Loja S.C.'s Ramon Simons threw himself towards the right post 33 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Atilano Rojas, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. In the 35th match minute, Loja S.C. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Fabricio Vedeja to maneuver through the defense. After 37 minutes of play, RockCity F.C.'s Chico Aldaeta made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Joel Caton was left in no man's land by his defense there! 44 minutes into the match, RockCity F.C.'s goal looked a bit too open when Loco Bugedo came free, but Ramon Simons reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After the first half RockCity F.C. were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Chico Aldaeta stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Chico Aldaeta recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 51st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Loja S.C.'s Joel Caton proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 53rd minute of the match, managed to save Loja S.C. from getting a goal against them. Joel Caton made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Félix Cisneros in the 54th minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Atilano Rojas in the 57th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Ramon Simons prevented the ball from getting in the gole. RockCity F.C.'s Ramon Simons played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Atilano Rojas in the 67th minute of play. Ramon Simons made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Fabricio Vedeja in the 71st minute of play. Joel Caton made an important save on a dangerous shot by Zayveon Quiroz in the 72nd minute. Loja S.C.'s Sánchez Alborza was substituted for Reasco Landeros. Fabricio Vedeja received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 91st minute. Ramon Simons tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 94 minutes into the game, Zayveon Quiroz recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Joel Caton. Zayveon Quiroz showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-3.
