Uriel Carrion charged in rather forcefully in the 6th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Uriel Carrion the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Uriel Carrion hit a great freekick 7 minutes into the match. 8 minutes into the match, Union Y Progreso F.C.'s goal looked a bit too open when Valentin Matuta came free, but Bran Fernandez reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Valentin Matuta in the 10th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Bran Fernandez saved Union Y Progreso F.C. from getting behind. 11 minutes into the match, Union Y Progreso F.C.'s goal looked a bit too open when Faustino Villahoz came free, but Bran Fernandez reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Ignacio Barquin got free with Hulk Hugan in the 13th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 16th minute Carnero Viergol shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bran Fernandez saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With 19 minutes on the clock, Aguirre Grandoso commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. After 18 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Union Y Progreso F.C.! Gregorio Cayuso received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 24th minute. Bran Fernandez tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After some careless play in the Union Y Progreso F.C. defense, Faustino Villahoz kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Bran Fernandez. The Union Y Progreso F.C. fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Bran Fernandez should have stopped the shot. In the 29th minute Valentin Matuta shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bran Fernandez saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Dos Soles F.C.'s Hulk Hugan proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 35th minute of the match, managed to save Dos Soles F.C. from getting a goal against them. After a rather tough play, Union Y Progreso F.C.'s Vedillo Munguia got a free kick in the 37th minute. Union Y Progreso F.C.'s Bran Fernandez played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dominguez Artaza in the 38th minute of play. Bran Fernandez didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Valentin Matuta went, in the 41st minute, to the upper right corner, 0-3 was the resulting score. A collision led to Dos Soles F.C. getting a freekick after 46 minutes play. Leonard Hajduk hit a great ball. In the 47th minute, Leonardo Verganza hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Dos Soles F.C. made a substitution. Vennancio Amador replaced Leonard Hajduk. Bran Fernandez took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Faustino Villahoz, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After the first half Dos Soles F.C. were leading 0-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Faustino Villahoz stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 53rd minute, Valentin Matuta ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Bran Fernandez was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-4. If Faustino Villahoz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 60th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 70th minute Faustino Villahoz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bran Fernandez saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 71st minute, Dominguez Artaza hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 80 minutes into the game, Xurxo Monterinos was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Union Y Progreso F.C.'s manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Dos Soles F.C. the free kick. In the 80th match minute, Union Y Progreso F.C. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Xurxo Monterinos to maneuver through the defense. Bran Fernandez showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Faustino Villahoz, who was totally free with the ball in the 82nd minute. Faustino Villahoz hit a great freekick 89 minutes into the match. Ignacio Barquin took the ball and in the 95 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Hulk Hugan. Hulk Hugan dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-5.
