Res Non Verba's Ysidro Mallen played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Niolaao Viya in the 2nd minute of play. Angelino Urriola could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 4th minute of the match, but Juaneizu Merida made a huge save. When Angelino Urriola, who was free, got the in front of the goal in the 4 minute he wasn't focused and tipped the ball just over the goal. The Juaneizu Merida was delighted since the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. After a rather tough play, Nacional's Joey Real got a free kick in the 5th minute. An unexpected shot in the 6th minute by Angelino Urriola got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. 8 minutes had been played when some careless play by Nacional's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Eliseo Arnuero was slow to take the kick. During this time Res Non Verba's players had a chance to rest. Res Non Verba's Eliseo Arnuero was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Juaneizu Merida in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. The supporters of Nacional booed when Res Non Verba was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 11 match minutes in a wonderful position. Narciso Agudiez didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 13th minute, Niolaao Viya made a precise shot to the right of Ysidro Mallen. Res Non Verba's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. Ysidro Mallen didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Niolaao Viya went, in the 18th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-2 was the resulting score. Gorka Vialpando might have been able to make a better finish in the 21st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Ysidro Mallen. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Gorka Vialpando ran back to his position shaking his head. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 25th minute of the game. One of Res Non Verba:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Nacional:s goal. The referee gave Nacional a penalty, 26 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Niolaao Viya, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Res Non Verba's Ysidro Mallen. 0-3. Niolaao Viya might have been able to make a better finish in the 29th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Ysidro Mallen. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Niolaao Viya ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 29th minute Niolaao Viya shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ysidro Mallen saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 31 minutes into the game, Nacional's Niolaao Viya nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Ysidro Mallen made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-4. Niolaao Viya took the ball and in the 39 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Ysidro Mallen. Ysidro Mallen dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-5. 43 minutes into the match, Res Non Verba's goal looked a bit too open when Gorka Vialpando came free, but Ysidro Mallen reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Niolaao Viya fell near the penalty area in the 45th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Nacional's protests and gave Niolaao Viya a yellow card for diving instead. Niolaao Viya kicked well hit freekick during the 45th minute of the match. After the first half Nacional were leading 0-5. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.
The wind increased when Niolaao Viya made the kick off in the second half. Narciso Chavarri fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 50th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Juaneizu Merida having to interfere. 52 minutes into the match, Nacional's Niolaao Viya sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Ysidro Mallen narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After 55 minutes Res Non Verba's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Joseph Gayoso who took care of the corner kick. The corner led Nacional's Joseph Gayoso to fire away a dangerous shot which Ysidro Mallen despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. If Niolaao Viya had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 59th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Niolaao Viya took the ball and in the 60 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Ysidro Mallen. Ysidro Mallen dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-6. Niolaao Viya's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Ysidro Mallen read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 65th minute of play. Nacional were awarded a corner in the 66th minute after Res Non Verba's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Joseph Gayoso took the corner. When Jago Peciña fell near the penalty area in the 69th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Res Non Verba's protests and gave Jago Peciña a yellow card for diving instead. Jago Peciña kicked well hit freekick during the 69th minute of the match. Niolaao Viya struck a weak shot in the 70th minute. Ysidro Mallen didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Nacional. In the 75th minute the ball was on its way in behind Res Non Verba's goalkeeper Ysidro Mallen, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The audience was convinced that Chumo Palmero's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Ysidro Mallen was relentless in the 78th minute of the game. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Chumo Palmero in the 82nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Ysidro Mallen prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After a rather tough play, Nacional's Guilllermo Bulnes got a free kick in the 83rd minute. Chumo Palmero sent away a hard shot on goal in the 86th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. If Luciano Inverso had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 93rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Nacional's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
