In the 5th minute Tomáš Močarník shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Filip Garaj saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tomáš Javorčík in the 11th minute of play forced FC Stinking Dogs's goalkeeper Ondrej Fratrič to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 11 minutes into the match, Tomáš Javorčík notched a goal, 1-1, to the right of FC Stinking Dogs's Ondrej Fratrič. Ondrej Fratrič was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Viktor Semeno hit a great freekick 16 minutes into the match. In the 17th match minute, AFK Petržalka was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Tomáš Javorčík to maneuver through the defense. Filip Garaj made a fantastic save in the 19th minute, when Tomáš Močarník sent off a good shot on target. 22 minutes into the match, FC Stinking Dogs's goal looked a bit too open when Martin Fossum came free, but Ondrej Fratrič reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A nice corner shot did that Rick Haremeijer got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Ondrej Fratrič quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. In the 30th minute the ball was on its way in behind FC Stinking Dogs's goalkeeper Ondrej Fratrič, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Martin Fossum sent away a hard shot on goal in the 33rd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Stanko Lobotka in the 34th minute of play forced FC Stinking Dogs's goalkeeper Ondrej Fratrič to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Filip Garaj showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rastislav Schvarzbacher, who was totally free with the ball in the 36th minute. FC Stinking Dogs's Ondrej Fratrič played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Stanko Lobotka in the 37th minute of play. Martin Fossum took the ball and in the 39 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Ondrej Fratrič. Ondrej Fratrič dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-2. When the match had gone on for 47 minutes, Tomáš Javorčík put it in 1-3 from a short distance just to the right of Ondrej Fratrič. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 1-3.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Tomáš Javorčík stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. 52 minutes into the match, Martin Fossum had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Ondrej Fratrič. FC Stinking Dogs's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Martin Fossum was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-4. In the 55th minute the ball was on its way in behind FC Stinking Dogs's goalkeeper Ondrej Fratrič, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Martin Fossum sent away a hard shot on goal in the 57th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ondrej Fratrič stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Martin Fossum's shot from short distance in the 59th minute. After 59 played minutes FC Stinking Dogs got a freekick which was hit by Tibor Košč. 71 minutes into the match, FC Stinking Dogs's goalkeeper Ondrej Fratrič had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Martin Fossum. In the 74th minute, Martin Fossum made a precise shot to the right of Ondrej Fratrič. FC Stinking Dogs's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-6. AFK Petržalka's Nikola Krstović was substituted for Martin Fossum. In the 82nd minute, Nikola Krstović got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Ondrej Fratrič made a fantastic save in the 87th minute, when Nikola Krstović sent off a good shot on target. In the 89th minute Tomáš Javorčík shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ondrej Fratrič saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 90 minutes into the game, Nikola Krstović lined in a short shot 1-7 behind a frustrated Ondrej Fratrič. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Nikola Krstović in the 94th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Ondrej Fratrič prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. AFK Petržalka walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
