Edward Preston showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Steve Whalley, who was totally free with the ball in the 13th minute. 17 minutes into the match, Valiant F.C's goalkeeper Barrie Emberson had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Bradley Blueman. Silvester Atkins kicked well hit freekick during the 18th minute of the match. Edward Preston showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Steve Whalley in the 21st minute of the match. Bradley Blueman struck a weak shot in the 26th minute. Barrie Emberson didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Egg Chasers FC. The crowd rose to their feet as Pete Partridge kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Barrie Emberson. That made the score 2-0 in the 31 minute of play. The supporters of Valiant F.C booed when Egg Chasers FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 33 match minutes in a wonderful position. Don Major didn't get a good kick on the ball. After having played for 34 minutes, Steve Whalley managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Valiant F.C's supporters crossed their fingers, but Steve Whalley was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 36 played minutes Egg Chasers FC got a freekick which was hit by Dylon Sands. In the 39th minute Jay Palmer shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Barrie Emberson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Pete Partridge in the 41st minute of play forced Valiant F.C's goalkeeper Barrie Emberson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Valiant F.C's Steve Whalley got a good chance for a goal in the 43rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After a rather tough play, Egg Chasers FC's Dylon Sands got a free kick in the 44th minute. 47 minutes into the game, Egg Chasers FC's Dylon Sands nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Barrie Emberson made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-0. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Pete Partridge made a kick off. After 56 minutes of play, Egg Chasers FC's Bradley Blueman made it 4-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Barrie Emberson was left in no man's land by his defense there! When Pete Partridge fell near the penalty area in the 58th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Egg Chasers FC's protests and gave Pete Partridge a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Egg Chasers FC's Pete Partridge got a free kick in the 58th minute. In the 60th match minute, Valiant F.C was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by John Paul Owen to maneuver through the defense. Silvester Atkins charged in rather forcefully in the 93rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Silvester Atkins the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Egg Chasers FC getting a freekick after 94 minutes play. Pete Partridge hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alistair Riley in the 97th minute of play forced Valiant F.C's goalkeeper Barrie Emberson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Egg Chasers FC walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
