Felix Curtis helped the player get up and apologised. In the 11th match minute, FC LIVERPOOL was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Felix Curtis to maneuver through the defense. Gavin Freeman recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 17th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. David Young showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Geoff Colley in the 26th minute of the match. When the match clock showed 26 minutes, the score became 0-2 when Lance Sedgemore sped through Greengates Goliaths's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of David Young. Gavin Freeman received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 29th minute. David Young tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Geoff Colley came up free with the goalie in the 32nd minute, the FC LIVERPOOL fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Geoff Colley couldn't finish the play. Lance Sedgemore scored 0-3 in the 34th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of David Young, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Abraham Gilchrist struck a weak shot in the 39th minute. David Young didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for FC LIVERPOOL. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Eric Harrison was the one to do the kick off. With a left leg David Young saved Greengates Goliaths from getting behind. After some fancy dribbling in the 61st minute, Lance Sedgemore managed to get in a good position for a shot. FC LIVERPOOL's supporters rose to their feet, but Lance Sedgemore was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. David Young breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 64 minutes into the match, Lance Sedgemore dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of David Young, 0-4. In the 67th match minute, Greengates Goliaths was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Kev Braithwaite to maneuver through the defense. David Young made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Geoff Colley in the 69th minute of play. After 76 minutes, Allan Rushmere mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Greengates Goliaths and the FC LIVERPOOL players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 80 minutes of play, FC LIVERPOOL's Geoff Colley made it 0-6 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. David Young was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 85th minute, Lance Sedgemore got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The audience thought a goal was coming when Lance Sedgemore got free with David Young in the 88th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Lance Sedgemore in the 89thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of David Young, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. When the match was over FC LIVERPOOL could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Greengates Goliaths throughout the match.
