Seating: 40, VIP seats: 3) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Edward Rushmere made the kick off which started today's match. Kristopher Connett took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mike Little, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 6th match minute, Club Atlético de Newell was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Kris Delaney to maneuver through the defense. Joel Turner fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 7th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Spike Lambley having to interfere. In the 13th minute Mike Little shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Kristopher Connett saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Club Atlético de Newell's defense didn't have a chance, in the 14th minute, when Stuart Swain scored to the left of an out of position Spike Lambley, making the score, 1-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Edward Rushmere in the 20th minute of play forced The Wheeliebins's goalkeeper Kristopher Connett to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Kristopher Connett showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mike Little, who was totally free with the ball in the 21st minute. In the 23rd minute, Mike Little made a precise shot to the right of Kristopher Connett. The Wheeliebins's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-2. Kristopher Connett stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Mike Little's shot from short distance in the 28th minute. Phillip Fry charged in rather forcefully in the 29th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Phillip Fry the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Club Atlético de Newell booed when The Wheeliebins was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 29 match minutes in a wonderful position. Phillip Fry didn't get a good kick on the ball. Kristopher Connett showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Basil Holden, who was totally free with the ball in the 30th minute. Kristopher Connett came out of the goal in the 31st minute to try and stop a shot by Club Atlético de Newell's Edward Rushmere. But to his dismay, Edward Rushmere quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-3. Phillip Fry sent away a hard shot on goal in the 36th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After having played for 37 minutes, Stuart Swain managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. The Wheeliebins's supporters crossed their fingers, but Stuart Swain was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Phillip Fry hit a great freekick 40 minutes into the match. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 1-3 lead.
The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Joel Turner to strike the kick off in the second half. The supporters of Club Atlético de Newell booed when The Wheeliebins was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 56 match minutes in a wonderful position. Joel Turner didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 59th minute, Stuart Swain got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Miles Holmes kicked well hit freekick during the 61st minute of the match. In the 61st minute of the match Eric Broadhead shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Kristopher Connett showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Kristopher Connett made an important save on a dangerous shot by Edward Rushmere in the 63rd minute. After having played for 66 minutes, Stuart Swain managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. The Wheeliebins's supporters crossed their fingers, but Stuart Swain was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 67th minute, Joel Turner left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The The Wheeliebins fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-3. After 81 played minutes The Wheeliebins got a freekick which was hit by Phillip Fry. The Wheeliebins's Kristopher Connett played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mike Little in the 83rd minute of play. Greg Bastow came free with the goalkeeper in the 84th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Kristopher Connett could save by the left post. The Wheeliebins's Kristopher Connett played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Basil Holden in the 85th minute of play. Edward Rushmere's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Kristopher Connett firmly grabbed it by the left post. In the 95th minute, The Wheeliebins's Syd Linford seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Syd Linford the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of The Wheeliebins protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Syd Linford had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. After recieving a nice pass, Club Atlético de Newell's Eric Broadhead tried to score from far away in the 97th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Club Atlético de Newell walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
