The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Klaus Stengert the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Poli Timisoara protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Klaus Stengert had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. In the 15th minute there was a penalty for FV Wienerwald. Luca Ternes stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Simon Friedmann. 0-1. When Rouven König fell near the penalty area in the 18th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Poli Timisoara's protests and gave Rouven König a yellow card for diving instead. If Waldemar Giesen had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 19th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 20 played minutes Poli Timisoara got a freekick which was hit by Rouven König. Simon Friedmann didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Andre-Yann Kahofer went, in the 23rd minute, to the upper right corner, 0-2 was the resulting score. 26 minutes into the match, Waldemar Giesen notched a goal, 0-3, to the right of Poli Timisoara's Simon Friedmann. Simon Friedmann was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Andre-Yann Kahofer's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Simon Friedmann read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 29th minute of play. In the 29th match minute, Poli Timisoara was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Thomas Polster to maneuver through the defense. Simon Friedmann took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Andre-Yann Kahofer, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Simon Friedmann made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Andre-Yann Kahofer in the 37th minute of play. In the 41st minute, Luca Ternes ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Simon Friedmann was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-4. Patrik Kölblinger hit a great freekick 45 minutes into the match. Simon Friedmann took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Luca Ternes, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After the first half FV Wienerwald were leading 0-4. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Simon Friedmann made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Waldemar Giesen in the 51st minute of play. In the 52nd match minute, Poli Timisoara was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Thomas Polster to maneuver through the defense. Simon Friedmann made a fantastic save in the 56th minute, when Andre-Yann Kahofer sent off a good shot on target. In the 62nd match minute, Poli Timisoara was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Thomas Polster to maneuver through the defense. With his leg Simon Friedmann managed to avoid a goal in the 76thth minute, when FV Wienerwald's Luca Ternes fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. A collision led to FV Wienerwald getting a freekick after 77 minutes play. Andre-Yann Kahofer hit a great ball. In the 81st minute, Luca Ternes made a precise shot to the right of Simon Friedmann. Poli Timisoara's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-7. Tommi Braun could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 85th minute of the match, but Simon Friedmann made a huge save. Thomas Polster kicked well hit freekick during the 85th minute of the match. 89 minutes into the match, Poli Timisoara's goalkeeper Simon Friedmann had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Andre-Yann Kahofer. When the match had gone on for 90 minutes, Luca Ternes took a quick shot and it went in 0-8 without a chance for Simon Friedmann to make any attempt to save it. The supporters of Poli Timisoara booed when FV Wienerwald was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 94 match minutes in a wonderful position. Tommi Braun didn't get a good kick on the ball. 96 minutes into the match, Andre-Yann Kahofer had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Simon Friedmann. Poli Timisoara's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Andre-Yann Kahofer was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-9. When the match was over FV Wienerwald could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Poli Timisoara throughout the match.
