The corner led FC Kyustendil's Stanoy Chepishev to fire away a dangerous shot which Manuel Noyer despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. When Borimir Shirov came up free with the goalie in the 18th minute, the Blue avalanche fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Borimir Shirov couldn't finish the play. Valcho Avramov's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Vladislav Tzvetkov firmly grabbed it by the left post. Rangel Temelyotev's late challenge caught a Blue avalanche's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Rangel Temelyotev helped the player get up and apologised. In the 61st minute Borimir Shirov shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Vladislav Tzvetkov saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Vladislav Tzvetkov took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Spiro Getzov, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 63 minutes into the game, Borimir Shirov cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-0. Vladislav Tzvetkov was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Lozan Romanski could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 70th minute of the match, but Manuel Noyer made a huge save. If Lozan Romanski had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 73rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 80 minutes of play, Blue avalanche's Valcho Avramov made it 4-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Vladislav Tzvetkov was left in no man's land by his defense there! 87 minutes into the match, FC Kyustendil's goal looked a bit too open when Borimir Shirov came free, but Vladislav Tzvetkov reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the game's 92nd minute FC Kyustendil's Ginyo Malyov took a hard shot from long distance, a kick which went into the net just to the right of Manuel Noyer and thus the score was 5-1. FC Kyustendil's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
