Bobi Palpurin kicked well hit freekick during the 7th minute of the match. 8 minutes into the match, Maritza's goal looked a bit too open when Yoncho Búrdarov came free, but Vladimir Pushkov reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Vladimir Pushkov took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Yoncho Búrdarov, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. MANCHESTER UNITED's Alek Gaytandzhiev proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 14th minute of the match, managed to save MANCHESTER UNITED from getting a goal against them. In the 16th minute, Vanko Sidov got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 19th minute, Yoncho Búrdarov hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Vanko Sidovs short, quick shot in the 20thth minute got Alek Gaytandzhiev to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Kuncho Alichkov recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 21st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. MANCHESTER UNITED's Alek Gaytandzhiev played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Kuncho Alichkov in the 23rd minute of play. Arhangel Duhtev received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 26th minute. Vladimir Pushkov tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Kuncho Alichkov hit a great freekick 28 minutes into the match. Vladimir Pushkov made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Yoncho Búrdarov in the 30th minute of play. Vladimir Pushkov took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Arhangel Duhtev, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Yavor Hadzhiatanasov sent away a hard shot on goal in the 35th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 36th minute, Teodosi Iliychev managed to get in a good position for a shot. Maritza's supporters rose to their feet, but Teodosi Iliychev was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Alek Gaytandzhiev breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. With 46 minutes on the clock, Dochko Mirinchev commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. A collision led to MANCHESTER UNITED getting a freekick after 47 minutes play. Dochko Mirinchev hit a great ball. If Vanko Sidov had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 48th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.

The wind increased when Vanko Sidov made the kick off in the second half. Kuncho Alichkov sent away a hard shot on goal in the 58th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Yoncho Búrdarov in the 64th minute of play forced Maritza's goalkeeper Vladimir Pushkov to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Alek Gaytandzhiev showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Yavor Hadzhiatanasov in the 66th minute of the match. In the 66th minute, Zlatin Kiradzhiev hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Vanko Sidov came up free with the goalie in the 69th minute, the Maritza fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Vanko Sidov couldn't finish the play. Yavor Hadzhiatanasov struck a weak shot in the 74th minute. Alek Gaytandzhiev didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Maritza. 79 minutes into the match, Maritza's goalkeeper Vladimir Pushkov had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Yoncho Búrdarov. MANCHESTER UNITED's Alek Gaytandzhiev played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Vanko Sidov in the 81st minute of play. Alek Gaytandzhiev showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Radul Prokopiev, who was totally free with the ball in the 83rd minute. Alek Gaytandzhiev made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Vanko Sidov in the 85th minute of play. In the 89th minute Yoncho Búrdarov shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Vladimir Pushkov saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A collision led to MANCHESTER UNITED getting a freekick after 92 minutes play. Tzvyatko Chobanov hit a great ball. In the 94th minute Bobi Palpurin shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alek Gaytandzhiev saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. MANCHESTER UNITED succeeded in salvaging a draw, even though Maritza had controlled the match.
