The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Iosif Boldișor in the 5thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Tudor Ene, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Iosif Boldișor in the 7th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Tudor Ene saved Liverpool from getting behind. A collision led to Liverpool getting a freekick after 8 minutes play. Iulian Mihaiu hit a great ball. When MCB Timisoara 1921 BTV's Iosif Boldișor in the 12th minute got a chance for a shot 12th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Vlad Arsenescu could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 19th minute of the match, but Tudor Ene made a huge save. Liverpool's Tudor Ene played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Vlad Arsenescu in the 21st minute of play. Eusebiu Manciu hit a great freekick 21 minutes into the match. In the 27th minute Ion Hârlab shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Emil Inculeț saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 30 minutes, Iulian Mihaiu made it 0-1 with a short kick to the right side. MCB Timisoara 1921 BTV's Emil Inculeț tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. The audience was convinced that Iosif Boldișor's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Tudor Ene was relentless in the 33rd minute of the game. In the 37th minute MCB Timisoara 1921 BTV were awarded a corner. Traian Opaina went to the cornerflag to take it. The corner first didn't look so dangerous but when Irinel Birișu got the ball he succeeded in some way to get through the defenders to deliver a very hard score. Tudor Ene was out of position in the 42 minute of play, and Iosif Boldișor capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Iosif Boldișor really showed his touch with that goal: 2-1. Silviu Cutieru might have been able to make a better finish in the 46th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Tudor Ene. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Silviu Cutieru ran back to his position shaking his head. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Iulian Mihaiu to make the kick off. Tudor Ene took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Iosif Boldișor, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Tudor Ene made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Iosif Boldișor in the 67th minute of play. After 67 minutes, Iosif Boldișor made it 3-1 with a short kick to the right side. Liverpool's Tudor Ene tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Tudor Ene stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Iosif Boldișor's shot from short distance in the 70th minute. Eusebiu Manciu hit a great freekick 71 minutes into the match. In the 72nd minute, Vlad Arsenescu ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Tudor Ene was frozen by the shot and now it was 4-1. 85 minutes into the match, Iosif Boldișor had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Tudor Ene. Liverpool's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Iosif Boldișor was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 7-1. The MCB Timisoara 1921 BTV fans' excitement grew in the 88th match minute when MCB Timisoara 1921 BTV's Traian Opaina looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 8-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. After a rather tough play, Liverpool's Ion Hârlab got a free kick in the 92nd minute. MCB Timisoara 1921 BTV walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
