Spectators: 177 (Terracing: 133, Seating: 41, VIP seats: 3) Lions United's Lennart Iwens started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. The supporters of Lions United booed when De krokante kroketjes was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 5 match minutes in a wonderful position. Sam De Beer didn't get a good kick on the ball. Robbrecht Valcke kicked well hit freekick during the 8th minute of the match. Gillis Heirremans took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dieter Haelemans, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Gillis Heirremans showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Raymond Van Aerschodt, who was totally free with the ball in the 11th minute. After 12 played minutes De krokante kroketjes got a freekick which was hit by Wesly Vischkens. Lennart Iwens received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 13th minute. Matias Diependaele tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The supporters of Lions United booed when De krokante kroketjes was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 17 match minutes in a wonderful position. Sam De Beer didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 21st minute Tibau Van Der Linden shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gillis Heirremans saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 25th minute, Sam De Beer hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Tibau Van Der Linden took the ball and in the 28 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Gillis Heirremans. Gillis Heirremans dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-2. Sam De Beer hit a great freekick 36 minutes into the match. Gillis Heirremans made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Raymond Van Aerschodt in the 45th minute of play. Gillis Heirremans came out of the goal in the 47th minute to try and stop a shot by De krokante kroketjes's Raymond Van Aerschodt. But to his dismay, Raymond Van Aerschodt quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-3. The Lions United players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. De krokante kroketjes were winning 1-3.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Dieter Haelemans to make the kick off. Gillis Heirremans made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dieter Haelemans in the 54th minute of play. Lions United's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Staf Van Essche 59 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 1-4. When Jef Wynant fell near the penalty area in the 62nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored De krokante kroketjes's protests and gave Jef Wynant a yellow card for diving instead. 63 minutes into the match, Lions United's Robbrecht Valcke broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. In the 66th play minute Tibau Van Der Linden came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Gillis Heirremans. 1-5. When De krokante kroketjes's Dieter Haelemans in the 73rd minute got a chance for a shot 73rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Lions United's goalie prevented a goal. Raymond Van Aerschodt could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 77th minute of the match, but Gillis Heirremans made a huge save. Tibau Van Der Linden sent away a hard shot on goal in the 78th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. The audience thought a goal was coming when Raymond Van Aerschodt got free with Gillis Heirremans in the 81st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After 97 minutes of play, De krokante kroketjes's Tibau Van Der Linden made it 1-6 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Gillis Heirremans was left in no man's land by his defense there! When the match was over De krokante kroketjes could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Lions United throughout the match.
