The Café DE PLOEG fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Youri Lefebre should have stopped the shot. If Henri Van Hespe had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 13th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 18th minute Nestor Verdun shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Youri Lefebre saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 19 minutes into the game, Fredrik De Geyter was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Invictus FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Café DE PLOEG the free kick. In a very dangerous position, a player in Invictus FC fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 18th minute. Penalty! Wannes De Tapp had in the 20thth minute some difficulties stopping Boudewijn Vlimmens's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. In the 20th minute, Boudewijn Vlimmens ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Wannes De Tapp was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-2. After 25 minutes of play, Café DE PLOEG's Boudewijn Vlimmens made it 2-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Wannes De Tapp was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 28th minute, Dreas Caers hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Youri Lefebre took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dreas Caers, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Youri Lefebre showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Dreas Caers, who was totally free with the ball in the 47th minute. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 2-3.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Lennart De Keyser to make the kick off. The crowd rose to their feet as Invictus FC's Nestor Verdun slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Youri Lefebre. That made the score 3-5 after 77 minutes of play. 81 minutes into the game, Invictus FC's Lennart De Keyser nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Youri Lefebre made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-6. A collision led to Café DE PLOEG getting a freekick after 86 minutes play. Giovanni Verduijn hit a great ball. After recieving a nice pass, Invictus FC's Nestor Verdun tried to score from far away in the 86th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. Youri Lefebre showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Dreas Caers, who was totally free with the ball in the 88th minute. Lennart De Keyser could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 92nd minute of the match, but Youri Lefebre made a huge save. Youri Lefebre took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Nestor Verdun, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Youri Lefebre was out of position in the 95 minute of play, and Lennart De Keyser capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Lennart De Keyser really showed his touch with that goal: 3-7. Invictus FC's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
