But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that 白远延 couldn't finish the play. In the 17th match minute, 盐城蓝白城堡足球俱乐部 was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by 徐昂振 to maneuver through the defense. In the 21st minute the ball was on its way in behind 盐城蓝白城堡足球俱乐部's goalkeeper 袁邦锋, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 林城谦 showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from 巩霖源 in the 22nd minute of the match. 袁邦锋 showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from 白远延, who was totally free with the ball in the 24th minute. 白远延 might have been able to make a better finish in the 27th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over 袁邦锋. In the 29th minute 白远延 shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but 袁邦锋 saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for 巩霖源 to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 53rd minute of the match Cylon got a corner. 盐城蓝白城堡足球俱乐部's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. 罗珂桑 ran over to the corner to take the kick. After some careless play in the 盐城蓝白城堡足球俱乐部 defense, 龙超益 kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of 袁邦锋. In the 75th minute, 范悦洲 hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If 巩霖源 had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 84th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After having played for 87 minutes, 白远延 managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Cylon's supporters crossed their fingers, but 白远延 was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 袁邦锋 showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from 白远延 in the 90th minute of the match. When 龙超益 fell near the penalty area in the 93rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Cylon's protests and gave 龙超益 a yellow card for diving instead. Cylon's 白远延 got a good chance for a goal in the 96th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The 盐城蓝白城堡足球俱乐部 fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Cylon were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
